Did they ever fix the yardage markers at Chisel Creek? I remember playing it once right after it opened and they were all wrong, or that was the only course I hit over 320 on every drive.

I always liked sneaking to Brantwood in Elkton after class. It was like $12 to walk after 3, and was decent for the money with its tiny tiny tiny greens. I heard it changed its name recently. Same with 3 little bakers.

Shot another 92....JESUS. Down to a "6.5" handicap.

Actually started off okay +4 thru 7, then missed a silly putt on 8 and made a triple on 9 due to a combo of bad play + 30 mph wind into a 440 yard par 4.

On the back 9, I proved that I am really good at making bogeys in all different ways. I made an 8 when I hit a 5 wood that I never found, and then I double the last two holes b/c on 17 I can't hit a long iron worth a damn and on 18 I had a downhill 6 footer for par which I literally couldn't stop within 10 feet of the hole if it didn't go in.

I need to quit playing the back tees when it is 30mph wind and super wet. It just is impossible to score when my drives go 225 and i literally cannot hardly make contact with my fairway woods.

I want it to be sunny already! I played around the other day and shot 125 on par 72 jesus. So rusty from winter. Any suggestions on how to shave strokes? Go to the range everyday? Putt everyday?

played Indian Creek in Carrolton, TX today for my birthday. Everything was great except for the 40mph and my putting. think i shot 82 with 40 putts. There were two holes i'm pretty sure you couldn't putt the ball within 10 feet of the hole because of the slope+wind so it was pretty unfair.

I played 27 holes yesterday and made 10 birdies with 5 bogeys to go along with them. I ended up shooting a 68 the for the first 18 and a 35 for the last nine. My golf game has really come around this season. In all I've played 18 rounds and started the year with a five handicap and after posting yesterdays score my handicap is now +.3. I've got a couple of things to work on to get back to my +2 and +3 days, but I'm happy with my progress.

32 stablford points was my contribution to our two man team. We lost everything front, back, bits you name it.
After my lesion I hit the driver better, a club longer and swapped the right hand rough for the left but the putting which had been reasonably good for three rounds completely fell apart and the pitching and chipping was poor as well. That and the 4 topped fairway woods cost me.

Well yesterday I shot a 47 (7 bogies and 2 doubles) on the front 9 and a 41 (with a double from the greenside bunker in 2 on a par 5) to shoot 88.

Today I played with some old dudes so I played 1 tee up from the blues and predictably shot a 38. I don't understand how the difference between a 48 and a 38 is one tee box. It isn't supposed to be that way. The difference between a 4 iron and a 7 iron to me is literally like a shot per hole.

High/low lights:

Stupidly hit driver on a 312 dogleg par 4. It hit the cart path and ended up pin high. Old guys were impressed. Chipped to 5 feet and birdied.

Next hole stupidly hit driver on 320 par 4 to 50 yards. Then hit ball 20 yards, then putted from 30 yards off the green over the green and putted again from 20 feet off green to a foot and tapped in a bogey.

Got my swing speed, etc done today.

Brag: Took 5 swings, slowest was 105, fastest was 109.7!!!
Beat: Only 245 carry wtf!!!??
Variance: Avg height of only 55 feet

Used new 07 TM Burner Driver...was averaging around 240-250 total yards with it.

Hoping to play next weekend, some of the courses here are open now.

I did go hit some range balls and learned that if only I could have a mat tee and a 20 mph left to right crosswind at all times I might never hit a bad hook again.

Perfect weather today. Went to City Park after work and just barely squeezed in 18 holes--it was pretty dark for the last two or three holes, but oh well. There was a slow foursome in front of me on the first tee and I should have asked to play through, but didn't, and never got another chance. C'est la vie.

I actually started off pretty well (by my standards). My L-wedge felt absolutely perfect for the first couple holes. I felt like anything within 100 yards I could put on the green with ease. After a couple good shots it cooled off and I went back to mostly sucking, but it was nice while it lasted. This was my first round in more than two months and I'm glad I'm not playing worse than where I left off.

It was just a perfect escape--no outside stress at all. I barely even thought about anything other than golf.

First round in 5 months and I shot a 92. Took me a while to get going, but I was pretty pleased with the way i hit it off the tee today.

Heh, I go to UD... Never played Rock Manor, though. When I'm at school I play at Deerfield and Pike Creek (used to be called Three Little Bakers - not the best course but I can get on for cheap).

How's Baywood looking? Great I presume, it always is. I'm definitely going to try and get down there this summer, I love playing that course.

Yeah, as I mentioned it's called Pike Creek Golf Club now. I shot 84 there today, was my first full 18 of the year. My short game was pretty good, putting is still a little off, and my irons were pretty terrible, even though I almost made a hole-in-one lol. Hopefully I can work at it and get it down to the 78-82 range, I'll probably practice a good deal this weekend and really get into the swing of things.

Delaware seems to be represented well in this thread, lol. At least of late, anyway.

Score doesn't mean all that much. Greens were in horrible condition.

Only the back nine open at Keystone links, par 35, I was 36 the first nine and 35 the second.

Greens were like putting in a field, so annoying.

Overall I had a great day and I'm pumped the season has begun here in Canada.!

Horsenden Hill 9 holes par 28

43 with 25 putts. The longer the shot the better I did but things fell apart on and near the greens. Also hit two snap hooks with mid irons not my normal miss hit which has been a slice. Seems to be a side effect of lesions correcting my take away and moving it more on the inside.

I'm officially on a hot streak as I am 19 under over my last 7 rounds. My strengths right now are my ballstriking from tee to green and my bunker game is really tight. I've been missing so few greens on par 3's and 4' that my chipping isn't really very good because I don't get a chance to hit many. On the downside my putter has been really hot and cold. I've been making birdies in bunches and also have had a few 3 putts and a 4 putt. My current index is +1.7 and if I'm going to improve my game much more, I'll have to virtually eliminate 3 putts alltogether, even if they are for pars on the par 5's.

2 rounds so far, 94 with 45 putts (LOL) and 90 with 39 putts. I putt g00t.

General rules question: Let's say you've marked your ball on the green and in the course of cleaning it, you drop it. It hits something and starts rolling towards the hole...are you supposed to turn your back or something?

It is not in play, so just pick it up. If it hits a ball in play, that should be replaced.

84 today...first round of the year....pretty tough course 7,000 yds 73.8 rating...pretty pleased given it was my first round.

Weather here is finally starting to clear up. Hit the range on Saturday and liked what I was doing. I've got my first lesson this upcoming Saturday so we'll see what happens. Very excited for this upcoming season!

97 saturday morning, 45 on front 9 saturday afternoon, 87 sunday... was only 4 over through 7 on the front saturday and then blew up, had to fight my way around the course for the rest of the day - driving the ball much better since i got it re-shafted after florida trip - won 9 skins sunday with some clutch putts

looks like back to crappy weather this week but not cold enough to stay inside, probably a few after work rounds are in order - yay spring

First round of the year in NY. Shot 47-40, hit the driver well, hit solid approach shots but couldnt make a putt inside 10 feet. Beautiful day to play golf.
