37-48-85. The front nine was a walk in the park. Par putt on the first hole hit the back of the cup and didn't fall. Careless 3 putt bogey on number 2. Seven straight pars. Then the wind picked up on the back and I started spraying it. It would help if I could make a putt some time. Just once.

Shot par, 71 at Keystone Links. Good way to end the year. Could have been scary low today, had 5 birdies in the first 7 holes.

40-42-82. Made two birdies, including a clutch 20 footer on #18. Otherwise, putted like complete ass. So LOL bad.

Still, late November golf FTW.

39-45-84. Figures that the one day I manage to putt competently I have my worst day with the driver in months.

Played Surrey National

It's wide and open but has lots of bunkers and water comes into play on a few holes.
Blew up on the fifth and picked up so didn’t record a score but won the match with 31 stablford points.

3 pars 5 bogies 8 doubles 2 blobs

That might look horrible but considering how uncomfortable I felt over the ball and how awkward my swing was I feel I did quite well to grind out any sort of score.

Finished in the worst way. 18 a 420 yard par 4 with a pond in front of the green. My drive was a big ugly pull hook that meant I had to lay up then with about forty yards to the green left I hit a pitch short it hit the bank and trickled in I dropped another ball and did the same again.

Brag: 1st ever par! 180 yard par 3, I hit a nice high 5-wood (no, I can't hit the ball very far, I know) that moves right to left just a bit, bounces in front of the green and rolls on leaving me a 20-footer. I want to be sure I don't blast it too long. I hit it dead on-line, but leave it about five feet short. I knock it in for par. (It was also only the third time I hit a GIR.) The only other "par" I'd had was a couple of months ago where I hit a tee shot into the water on a par 4, took a mulligan, skipped my next tee shot off the water and over, then made a par.

Beat: Putted like absolute crap. Had one other chance for a par but missed a seven- or eight-footer. 10 3-putts and only one one-putt. And one of my two-putts was essentially a 4-putt--I was on the fringe, blazed the ball past the hole into the rough, then chipped and two-putted.

Variance: gorgeous weather (coupled with kids being off of school) meant lots of people on the course. Usually it's a middle-aged blue-collar/retiree crowd, but I saw a fair number of college kids, a mom with a 9- or 10-year-old, a couple of teenagers.

me too, unfortunately winter in canada is right around the corner so I need to get over it.

I did, however, shoot an 83 this weekend at Osprey Valley's Toot course. It's an incredible parkland course with extreme elevation changes, huge fairways and tricky greens. The greens were unfortunately covered in sand, but they were still rolling very well despite the top-dressing.

Osprey Valley is an unreal 54 hole facility with 3 of the best tracks in Canada (imo) and it was a real pleasure to finish my golfing season there.

68 today at The Raven in Phoenix, played the whites with some old guys though, seems pretty easy but not sure how it compares to most courses around here. It's unbelievable to play golf in late November and have it feel like summer.

I always wear a glove but I ditched it after a couple holes so it would be easier to get regular gloves on between shots. Interestingly, I didn't notice much of a difference.

It wasn't quite cold enough for me to be jealous of the guys who have cart covers and heaters, but it's getting there.

West Middlesex

Played match play against two opponents, it was a bit confusing.
Should have had an 8.30 start but had to wait half an hour for the rain to die down a little. Went out in drizzle then it stopped then on the 13th it poured down for the next four holes before clearing up. Played the fifteenth and sixteenth twice because the last two holes were waterlogged. Came up the last needing to beat one guy to win the double or quits and beat the other to tie the match. Made a 15 foot birdie putt to do both.

43-42, 85 - three 3-putts on the front and a snowman on the back, really hit the ball well though and was eager to put into play some of the things i've been working with my pro on after the ridiculous winds made the other 3 days this weekend poor playing conditions - keep rolling out these 60 degree weekend days in PA please

visited my folks at Amelia Island, FLA over Thanksgiving and got to play for the first time in a year...shot an 83 the first day and then a 79 the next...with borrowed clubs. Gorgeous weather, great time. I need to buy some new clubs and start playing again...

48-40, 88 - was able to settle in on the back after playing through the first three groups out on the course... mr. snowman appeared once on the front, two birdies, few pars, pretty good day all around...glad i called in sick

Our weekly Pro-Am got rained out today after I got through 8.5 of wet/cold before it got called. Was like 6 over but the conditions were terrible.

Hopefully we have good weather for the Riviera Open, a Florida PGA event. Matt Every who just got his PGA tour card(former UF player) and some former PGA guys such as Kenny Knox, Ken Staton, and Rod Perry.

no golf this weekend, FU snow days like this remind me of how jealous i am of everyone who lives down south/out west and plays year round

I got a quick nine in at Perivale as a single.
1 birdie, 1 par, 3 bogies, 3 doubles, 1 blob

That looks uglier written down then it felt playing it.
Mainly I hit the ball quite well. It was only a top followed by a pull hook OB that lead to the blob all other full shots were ok.
The score would have been better if I hadn't left one put sitting right on the lip from five feet. And on the last hole fly the green entirely with a twenty five yard pitch.

Played 9 holes this morning with my friend and his father-in-law in Sarasota.

I have been working out and stretching for the last 8-10 weeks - working hard and it has paid off. I was bombing the driver for me today - carrying the ball 250 off the tee. Shot 40 for nine holes that measured 3350 yards with no roll. And as a little bonus it snowed today back home! YES!

My playing partners shot 79 and 86.

Lowest raw score ever by one stroke (tied previous best of +15).

40/44 = 84 on par 69 course (easy course w/ slope 104) in Central California.

Keeping the ball on the course and making almost every putt < 6' makes a difference. Who knew? Also, first round of year with no hole worse than double, that's huge for me.

Have now gone 92 and 84 with my new irons that just arrived Saturday... first set of cavity back and fitted clubs (Callaway Big Bertha i-Brids). What a difference!

Oh hey I have those. Got them in August, kind of wish I had went without the i-brids as sometimes the fins give me a bit of trouble, but I love them and they have improved my game immeasurably.

Yo! I have played four days in a row in a row - and I am now drunk posting on Jameson! Hammered actually. Spent the last two hours sitting at the end of the dock. Ahhhh. Life is just ****ed up.

Played Sarasota National today. Shot 85 but I was wearing shorts! C'mon Bonds!

Bombed one downwind about 320 and hit half swing wedge to two feet for birdie. That was sweet.

I see it is damned cold back up in Ohio/Michigan. Life sux.
