another excellent time at Salish Cliffs, scrambled to a 78. Very challenging course. Constantly demanding you problem solve with complex looks, angles, lies. Especially appreciate how true the greens run. Hit only a handful of greens but got up and down from everywhere. Sank lots of longish par putts simply because the greens were so solid.
We had an 8:20, but arrived early and the starter sent us off before two 4's. Done in under 3 hrs. Gave us time to drive up to Port Ludlow, get in another 18, then dinner at the resort, celebrating my wife's 50th.
Port Ludlow is old-school west coast. Helpless greens, blind downhill tee shots, doglegs, severe uphills, big trees.
http://portludlowresort.com/golf/. 77 off the blues. Lots of birdie looks but these greens were quite rough. Balls deflected off-line regularly.
White Horse tomorrow.
Brief poker story; Playing at Little Creek, my wife is on the button, folded around to her. She calls, lol. I raise in the SB with AQo. BB folds. K55 flop. I lead, she calls. T on the turn, I bet again, she calls. She giggles. I check the river, she bets, I open fold, and she shows flopped quads. Hehe. Worth $133 bonus. Happy Birthday
