44 yesterday for 9 holes

85 today at a private club I used to belong to. Strongly considering signing-up again. Played as a single and ran into 2 groups the whole way. Finished in about 2:30.

Highlight of the day was going driver, 6 iron on a 470y par 5 to 25 feet (then 3-putted).

I golfed really really good today. Could have easily shot way lower than I did if a few more fell. 3 birdie lip outs and an eagle chip lip out.

Was making good contact with the driver as well. Avg drive was 277 total which is insanely good for me

Didn't even start raining hard till I was walking off 18. About 15 mph wind steady from a non normal direction so made the course play a little different than it normally does.

one of the stranger rounds of my life yesterday....

minus 2 on the 5 par 3's on the course.... 4 of the 5 par 3's i was inside 12 feet. the other one it landed close but ran down to the other side of the green.

i drove the ball incredibly well too.... and i putted very well.

so i should have had the round of my life.... NOT QUITE.

irons and wedges were simply attrocious. probably took 3 XXXX and a bunch of bogeys and doubles after perfect drive .... fairways had recently been sanded but i think my downswing is way too steep (wedges especially. not too concerned with 8 iron and longer but fixing wedges will definitely hellp their too).

one thing i thought of is slowing down my backswing.... as my "golf whisperer" barber used to say, "a long swing is ok, a fast swing is ok, but a long fast swing is NOT". i think when you have too fast tempo you are forced to come down very steeply. perhaps related to "getting stuck" ala TW

Played one of the city courses today I have played a few times. Really easy but in good shape, got paired up with 2 dudes who were cool, hooked me up with some smuggled booze and smoked me out during our rain/hail delay which led to the downfall of my round but had a good time, shot 35 front, then I got high. Short game was really really good minus 1 chunk and 1 bladed.

Was also super nice to play on fairly short cut bent with lots of short grass run offs so was able to spin the ball inside 50 yards. Not back but had the little 1 bounce check with a feet roll out, and that was with not great golf balls. Could probably shoot in the 60s there since rating in only like 68.3

6/14 FIR first round with the R15, goes far and way better on mi****s just need to go to the range with protracer tomorrow to dial in the settings. Had 2 sideways punch outs

Played a few time recently.

I've had a dream of breaking 80. Last sunday I had a 5 foot putt to shoot 79. I missed by a 1/4 inch. 80 is my new best round. I had shot 81 a few times.

I got me motivated and I played 9 on wed. Had my first ever eagle. Though I only shot a 43.

Played today and shot 86 with 3 birdies.

Try again tomorrow.

Once you get the first one they will come in bunches.

Don't be shocked if when you break 80 the first time you shoot 76 or 77.

Heh weird. My only break of 80 ever was a 77. I dunno about them coming in bunches like the other poster said. For me breaking 80 came with many hosel hits and terrible scores.. :-)

I've recently begun demolishing 80 every time I play.

Lost my match play 1d at Mayfair Lakes vs a good buddy. Decided to shelve the driver and went 3 wood missed 1 FW problem was wet bunkers did me in had 2 traps that I Lawrence of arabia'd in (stayed in bunker after first shot). Oh well at least stopped the high hooking draw from last game

39-43-82. No birdies, 1 double bogey.

Ball striking wasn't real good other than off the tee. Putting was off too.

How many birdies do you normally get a round?

One or two is a pretty good day. More than that is quite unusual. I really should hit it closer to the hole and learn to putt.

Twice in the last week I've played a round where I began the day with a triple bogey, shoot in the mid to high 50s on the front nine, and then shoot 38 on the back. Frustrating as hell to start so damn slow.

Got in 36 today. Thought I had the driver dialed in but since it was dialed in on range balls this weekend my regular golf balls were launching way higher so I spent the day fiddling while playing. Some really good ones and some 70 yards sprayed right.

Was a good putting day though.

So I played the whites (70.3)since I tweaked my hamstring just a bit yesterday. Amazing how much better I drove the ball doing that. Had pretty much the round of my life. Putting was insane. I haven't even told anyone I know in real life since it is so far ahead of what a 3 hdcp should shoot, I wouldn't even believe me.

Awww well tell us!! Unless it's under 60 cause that's absurd lol. Ok I MIGHT believe that. :-)

42 (par 35). 1 birdie, 3 double bogeys. Not sharp. Greens weren't mowed so they were extra slow and bumpy. Nice evening for golf though, won't be too many more of those.

If anyone saw me they would have thought I was insane, I was doing some weird spin while looking at the sky all the way to the hole. Lipped out the birdie putt on 18 probably would have started running the entire course if it dropped.
