Yeah rockbottom hides it pretty well so it isn't obvious. Learned that one the hard way.

Yeah I have a different color already, take about an hour or 2 to break in where you think **** why did I buy these shoes, then all of a sudden they are wonderful. They grip well as well, about the only time I slip is if the course is really wet and I neglect brushing off the bottom after a few holes, I slip then realize all the mini spikes are covered in wet clumpy grass and mud, take a brush to them and good to go.

Solid club. Never swung a club with that much bounce before so it feels a bit off but I did hit it good. Looks to be a 105-110y club for me although I don't see myself swinging it that hard. 100y max likely. Now I need the matching 58*.

Nice to have a wedge with stopping power (grooves!!!). Hit one a touch thin on a pitch that would have been way over the green with my old SW, this one stopped within 3 feet of hitting the green.

One other thing, the club is a full 1" shorter than my current SW. Wonder if that's just the changes to clubs over the years?

Pro tip: Grooves aren't there to create spin, they're primarily there to move debris out of the way

I was just discussing swing meters and such with a 5 h/c at our club and he is going to lend me his. He says it is really good. He now goes for a trackman session each month with his coach, so I have the option to buy it from him if I like it. Hopefully I'll get hold of it next weekend if the course isn't still closed.

Bought a Nike method concept putter on closeout for $44. Some may find it strange looking but I absolutely love the feel and the way it rolls.

How heavy is the material in the black part compared to the blade head part

It's pretty heavy. Feels very much like putting with a mallet, but the look is like a blade (if you can ignore the luggage handle on the back lol).

After four golfing years wanted to buy new irons but no idea what to go for. Hcp 9, not a lot of club head speed (not much hip rotation, not using wrists much - maybe will work on that). Hit 7i 150 yards. Have had regular clubs and figured dont need stiff at least just yet (maybe not too far from them). Maybe shoulda got fitting but just went to a store to try different clubs. Got help from a employee who I thought was maybe 12 years old. He had trouble adjusting one club head and muttered under breath "how the **** do people do this for a living". Sweet tactic, no way I was not buying something.

Had thought about Titleist ap714, tried those and a bunch of other ones too. Ended up with steel Callaway XR. They seem to offer a bit more distance, which is maybe something I can use, but def not obsessed about getting distance. Hit 7i on the simulator to 165y, dunno what the diff will be outside. Did youtube those and others before and after, but if you guys have some comments on these then fire away please! Actually I think at this skill level the clubs don´t matter that much, prolly good enough if they give you a good feeling.

Got a Titleist 58degree SM5 vokey too, and a Tit 915 3 hybrid (had only 4 hybrid before). Now if only the temp would increase by 30 celsius...

I always bring my own 7 iron and driver if I am hitting on a sim in Dicks or stores like that. Easy way to compare

Picked up the 58* to go with my 54*. Ended up going with a lower bounce for around the greens.

i've been flirting with this putter in the store for a few weeks now...$250 new, but found it in like new condition at callaway preowned for more than 50% off.



pretty good sale right now, and i've had nothing but good experiences with them in the past. the actual club condition is one or two levels above what they describe it at.

I bought my putter from CPO last fall. Mine said "like new" and I would have thought it was brand new. Can't say enough good things about that site, at least in my experience.

as much as i can remember i've purchased two callaway fairway woods, an apex pro iron set last year to my specs, and a few years ago i bought three titlest volkey wedges (yes, they sell other brands).
all were in fantastic condition with new grips. makes it kind of hard to buy new clubs if you're willing to shop around and wait for the right clubs to show up there.

My problem is finding x-flex items on there, and it's never the shaft I like in it either.
