We need to get same games in Vegas going this summer, I'm sure there is plenty of other 2P2 ers that would like to play.

For mothers day, I bought my wife a bunch of golf related items--she's relatively new to the game, but really enjoys it. She was getting tired of always wearing my hats, so I bought her a white underarmour visor. Also, got her a callaway glove, callaway pink golf balls, divot and ball marker combo, pink tees, and Adidas golf shoes (which she will most likely exchange for something else).

FTR, she already has a full set of Callaway clubs and bag (I bought her ~4 years ago), and she likes to match (like most wives, I think), hence all of the Callaway gear.

I'm currently playing a set of Titleist DCI Oversize irons I bought new in ~2000. I'm at a point where I need to regrip them and I'm wondering if it is worth it, or if I should just upgrade to something newer? How much more forgiving is a newer set going to be? I've really liked these clubs so I was thinking of going with a used set of something like a Titleist 710-714 AP1?
One thing you can look at is Taylor Made Irons. They seem to come out with two new model sets each year lately. I notice that most stores are selling the 2nd or 3rd newest models at pretty good prices.

I have been doing this with TaylorMade drivers for years. I have had about 4 in the last 10 years. Last time I ended up getting a TaylorMade R11S Driver for cheap once the SLDR came out. I think the Jetspeed came out as well. Can't remember.

Sounds similar to my wife.

Beware. My wife has also discovered golf clothes.

Had some Golf Galaxy rebates and coupons, so I bought some Travis Mathew clothes. 3 shorts, 4 shirts, and a hat.

Expensive, boutique brand, but man, these are the best-looking, most comfortable golf clothes I've ever worn.

Finally ripped a hole in my golf glove (after 3 years!).

Any input on where to buy a golf glove at a decent price?

Costco usually has 3 packs of Callaway for pretty cheap, I want to say around $15 but can't remember for sure.

Thanks.

That seems cheap so I'll definitely have to check it out.

looked online and it looks like they only have 4 packs now for $25, not as good of a price but still decent, I would look in store though

How is the TM R15 going for $600? Are they trying to stay one (or two) steps ahead of inflation?

I'm not talking about ebay--it's $599 at our go-to golf retail store, "Golf Town", up here in Canada. That just seems absurd, especially considering that everyone knows that price will be knocked down by about 20% once the next TM driver comes out--which should be in the 2 or 3 months.

Yeah, I just bought a jetspeed tp with upgraded shaft for $105 on ebay.

If you're rich and just want the newest, hottest thing, go ahead.

But paying retail in golf stores is idiotic.

I learned a long time ago to stop paying retail in big golf stores.

The problem with eBay golf clubs is that there are a lot of fakes out there, so only buy from a reputable seller with return options.

And I find the big golf outlets, like Golf Galaxy and Las Vegas Golf will often offer better than retail prices on many items...just not brand new models of clubs. And the online outlets of GG and TaylorMade often have great deals on refurbished and used clubs.

rock bottom, global golf and budget golf are the best sites to check. they will almost for sure be a better deal then brick and mortar stores

Callaway used is another good online source for clubs, and not just their own models. Inventory is always changing on used club sites so you can't check just once.

Picked up one of those gloves. Will test it out and buy a few more if I like them.

+1 on not buying from big box retailers. Their mark-up is insane.

You wont ever buy a $20 glove again. Very little difference. The MG gloves are awesome, such a great deal
