RBK, I'm also bad at putting and found that a super stroke grip on my old putter helped a lot

Takes a few days of practice or a few rounds to get used to but seems to make my stroke more consistent and less "handsy"

I was able to demo a 2.0 3.0 and 5.0 and the 3 felt best with my hand size and putting grip etc

dead accurate, lower ball flight, way less fliers, plenty of spin and a versatile sole. I have a 41,46,51,56 and 60. come with KLM genius shafts. You can order from 41-61 degrees of loft, pretty much any lie angle and length of shaft. Ask for specific thickness of wrapping tape etc. Head are cast then forged. they aren't cheap at about 130 dollars a club they are worth every dime. I do believe they won Golf magazine "best of" in 2012. And they are nice looking sticks.

Just bought a Bushnell TourV3, haven't had a chance to use it yet. Anyone happy or unhappy with theirs?

Really happy with my Bushnell Tour V2 at least. Saves time and helps with confidence.

I like mine too - so many courses that I play have incorrect yardage markers.
Goes through a battery every 20 rounds or so - I would imagine the V3 uses them even quicker.

seems to be about the same for my V3, it died on the course twice before i got smart enough to buy the batteries in bulk and toss them in my bag

I have a Sunice rain jacket. Very nice quality and fit.

great product. only issue is sometimes into the sun it is difficult to nail the flag with out a lot of effort.

Just watch out for replicas/knockoffs I know TM had a problem with someone making fake RBZ irons and getting them shipped out too some dealers somehow without them realizing the serial #s.

I picked up this RBZ irons last month for 409 on special liking them so far extended my irons about 15 yards per club.

Extremely happy. Went out and got new irons/driver/woods today. Irons came with a free fitting at Dicks.

Ended up with the following:

Demo'd a bunch of irons (all 6 irons). Got to hit the Nike Covert S (?) which I hit like crap and didn't feel great about. Mizuno JPX EZ. Great irons when you flush em but unfortunately I needed a little more forgiveness in my irons as mi****s with these had a bigger deviation from when I flushed them. Callaway X Hot 2. Probably hit these slightly better than I did the Cobras but with a price tag $300 more the Amp Cells were an easy choice.

Also got to demo the new Callaway Apex. These are easily the nicest irons I've ever hit. The look, the feel, the everything. These irons are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately they're not as forgiving as I need right now and come with an $1,100 price tag. I can't stress enough how amazing these are though.


Ended up with a 2012 Cobra Amp D 10.5 degree driver. Was fitted for a regular flex but after he tinkered with some numbers we came to the conclusion that I would be best fit with a stiff shaft. Not 100% exactly what shaft I got, but I know I broke 300 with this driver on the machine with a 280 carry... so that'll do.




Got the matching 5w as well with a regular flex.

And lastly ended up with a Cobra Baffler 3h with a stiff shaft.


Total came to $805 and change. Now I have less than 0 excuses for not breaking 100 early this year and 90 towards the end.


Now if only this snow would unfreeze....

Really didn't have a preference going in. I just happened to hit all the Cobras better than everything else... and... well... here we are.

It hurts my heart to see all you guys who hit the ball 300 yards (280 carry) but cannot break 100, when I hit it 240-250 off the tee and flirt with breaking 80 when I am playing well.

Do you guys just bomb it then hit four or five grounders/shanks in a row? Four putting a lot?

Anyway, settling a bet, a playing buddy just handed me his entire bag, which included a set of Mizuno JPX 800's with upgraded shafts PLUS a Miura 56 degree wedge that's so pretty I don't want to hit a dirty ball off it.

This set is a huge upgrade, and I am running to the range right now.

Well, that was only 1 ball on the laser sim machine so it's possible it was off. My average was probably around 260-270 after roll on the machine. I have incredibly strong legs/core so I'm sure that helps with my distance too.

I hit my old driver incredibly bad. I was finally properly fitted for clubs and apparently this is the result? Last year was my first year golfing so the set I had really didn't fit me at all. To answer your question tho, some grounders, some shanks, fat, thin, and lots and lots of putts.

I'm confident I'll break 100 pretty early this year and my goal before the season is over is to break 90 consistently.

huge LOL@thinking there are tons of avg golfers(100ish) who avg!!! 300yd drives.

Spent $0 but got an old set of irons+wedges, another set of blade wedges and last year's RBZ 3 wood, 5 wood, and 4H, as well as a couple gloves, some towels, a pull cart, and "about 25 dozen" once-used ProV1 and ProV1x balls from my father-in-law.

He was giving away a bunch of old sets. It was cool looking through a lot of his old sets. He showed me a set of woods from the '60s that of course were actual woods with screws (I have seen these before but it's still fun to see). He said he played in a nostalgia tourney a few months ago where you had to use pre-1970 clubs (forged irons, woods, etc.). He said he hit a drive 265 but most guys were hitting them like 180 lol. He had an original set of Ping G2s I think that had a 1-iron.

After 2 putting everything within 5 feet (this past Sunday), I felt I needed another putter. So, I'm embarrassed to say, I got the Odyssey White Hot Pro 2-ball putter:


(I tested it out - it really does feel good, and does help in lining up shorter putts)


Also, late last week - I grabbed the Callaway Apex iron set (4i - AW, Stiff True Temper XP95 Steel shaft)



And the most comfortable shoes I've ever tried on - Ecco Biom '13:
