Re: too tarded for a HC looking swing help

Need to start with your set up, it needs to get much more athletic. Too much bend in the knees, not enough at the waist. Need to pull your shoulder blades back, let your arms hang a little more naturally straight down (they are too far away from you), and tighten core so your back isn't so rounded. It looks like you have too much weight on your toes, leaning forward, and its hard to tell but I think your feet are probably too close together.

Swing is actually not too bad after that, except you are off balance, in your back swing you fall forward and then you have to stand straight up to avoid hitting the club smack into the ground, so you will hit a lot of straight pulls and big slices depending on how well you square up the club face. Work on nothing but set up until its perfect, then we can evaluate the swing more fairly.

The obvious correction needed is to fix the over the top issue. Do you hit a lot of fades / slices? Or straight pulls? Also have to stay down on it by "coming through" all the way, rather than coming out of it at the end. Just a couple thoughts.

Re: too tarded for a HC looking swing help

good littel tip is keep your head down longer, it seemed to pop up right when you hit ball which makes you focus on your results(just like poker) and looked like you kinda jumped abit with your knees.

Good tip one of my friends gave me for lining yourself up with ball..

Irons you keep ball right in middle of your stance, and for driver he said line up the ball abit past the middle of your stance(gonna see if i can show u in pictures)

this is irons ( the (D) is feet, the (!) is club, and the (O) is ball and (C) stands for Center of stance
...........C
......D.........D <--- front foot

This is how he told me to line up with drivers and your more long range weapons .

...........C
.....D.........D <--- front foot.

still keep your hips forward and feet same way ( i dunno what it exactly does but it helped me) just adjust it abit till it feels comfortable) and alot of people try to kill it with drivers, just like the club move the ball)..

friend shoots in the high 70's low 80's so hes pretty good.

had to put dots in there because picture got screwed up if i didnt

u need to get that club hitting from the inside instead of directly over the top. practice hooking the hell out of the ball to get a feel for hitting from the inside and then adjust

Looks a lot better than I was expecting by your title and the fact you've only been playing for a year. Any bit of consistent play over the year and you should be able to break 100 comfortably.
