He may have 40 appearances left but I think around the age 40 his chances of winning the US open or the PGA drop alot. I figure he has 4 more years to win the US open or PGA (but doesn't) after that his majors wins have to be the masters or the British open on a course like St Andrews. But me down for a million fake dollars that Tiger wins two more Masters and 1 other major (most likely the british open).

I actually think he is.. I'd define 'bigger than the game' as someone that brings in those that aren't otherwise interested in the game..

Michael Jordan , Mike Tyson, Federer.. Sure the game survives without them, but it thrives with them.

FWIW,, I actually have found Tiger's game a bit boring.. Seemed his formula was always 'sure and steady wins the race'.. -4, -4 , -4, -4.... take it down.. That's more a factor of his pure awesomeness, but it didn't really make things exciting.. That's why I never understood the draw of Tiger to the non-fan....

Sure he was a disappointment at Augusta but a positive to take away is his putting. Should give him some confidence in that department for his next few outings.

Well he's 2nd in scoring average and only Mahan has more wins. Bubba has a major so you have 3 guys having a better year by your standards. How does that make him average?

in addition, although there is some pos. variance with golf(rub of green and such) there is no scenerio where your a 5 to 1 dog going into 72nd hole and hit 2 outter. you had to have been playing good to begin with the be in a position at the end of tourny to get lucky and win. thats the pos variance in golf maybe. not a fish on a heater.
