NxtWorldChamp, I've actually come a long way from the OP pictures. Here are a couple gifs from my latest lesson:



You'll have to pardon the "Play" symbol in the middle, but the takeaway has become much more straight-back. My instructor told me that I've largely fixed the "flat" swing issue that was making it very hard for me to be more consistent.



The biggest problem she notes is that I still have some excess arm and hip motion in the backswing. It's particularly prevalent at the very top when I extend just a little further than necessary, causing me to automatically shift my weight further left, buckle my left knee, and rotate my hips right rather than keeping everything simple with a shorter swing that just rotates my shoulders/torso around my hips. As someone noted much earlier in this post, I've been swinging way beyond the bounds of my own flexibility, which causes me to lose control (and an extremely frustrating two-way miss!)

Once again appreciate the feedback all. Trying to get myself ready to make a lot of progress this golf season, and this thread has been a huge help.
