What a day ... first Jose Fernandez and now Arnie. I didn't realize he was 87. A great golfer, and then a great businessman, great pitchman, and a really great person according to everyone who knew him. RIP Arnie.

+1. Even though Arnold's prime was before my time he was still a giant in the game. An incredible ambassador for golf and by all reports a great man.

Payed my respects to a great guy on the other thread, but no reason why not to pay it some more.

RIP Arnie - you helped to make the game what it was so that I started playing it - you must have done the same for many of us, and for that I am sure we are all grateful! GG Arnie!

He lived a great life. Bizarre that there was an AP reference in tonight's Simpsons which aired right before his death announcement.

Rest in Peace.

Some of you might find this interesting : http://www.somaxsports.com/video.php...ation-analysis

They found Arnie's swing to be the most efficient.

They certainly made a lot of references to Arnold Palmer. I didn't know animators can draw live like that.

arnie was one of the classiest famous people ever.... what really got me is someone saying that he took after his father who was a club pro and never lost that perspective. he had infinite patience to listening to all our pointless banter with him.

a real shame that he and jose fernandez died the same day..... obviously incredibly sad that fernandez died at all but i did think they each deserved the spotlight that same day.
