Yah, the price to play golf in the greater Toronto area is borderline robbery. However, people will pay for it; $100+ courses are absolutely jammed on weekends. "cheap golf" is considered 50-65$ to walk around here.

Good thing you know this... I haven't played it this year but that's a shame to hear.

Re: RBC Canadian open.

Damnit, my friend just secured tickets to Saturday's round like half a day after I book a round of golf in Markham (1.5 hour drive to the Open). I think i'll be cancelling the round, I'd rather take my first shot at a PGA tour event.

Went to the practice round yesterday. It's unreal how well these guys hit the ball in person; you take it for granted on TV.

Greens look really fast and slippery

Will Mike Weir make the cut? Or make any cut again?

Yeah, I have been to a few events and the ball flight, especially with the driver, is something you really can't imagine until you see it in person.

Re: RBC Canadian open.

Dave Markle won the Monday qualifier like a real man and it's his 1st PGA event. Good old Canadian boy.

I grew up playing golf with him (same course/swing coach). Will be there on the weekend if he makes the cut.
