There is a small rattling sound in my 460cc titanium driver. The outside is fine. Is there a way to fix this or is it ruined?

Loose epoxy in the head. Heat it up, remove the shaft, clean out the loose bodies, re-epoxy the club, pop the shaft back in.

Unless of course things have radically changed with materials.

I think trying to fix yourself is aggressive. It won't impact performance but if it bugs you have a club repair shop do the work.....assuming you like the club.

Like ship said, don't do it yourself. Take it to Golfsmith or PGA Superstore or whatever and get it fixed. Can't imagine they will charge you more then $20 to do it.

have had this happen to 2 different clubs i have had, a driver and a hybrid, took them back to the store i bought them at and they gave me a brand new club/full store credit.

Depending on the type of driver could be a knock off which has more foam like material in the head which will deterate over time and start to rattle.

I'd assume this would cost $10 or less at Golfsmith and if it costs more I need to get into the club repair business.

why would anyone build a golf course near a landfill like oakland? The place looks like death city from a distance.

did you have those clubs for awhile or less than a month?

I'd assume few gold stores would take a shaft out and put a shaft in, even if it is the same shaft for less than $10. Dick's Sporting Goods charges you $3 per club labor just to put on a grip, and while not that complicated to take the shaft out, clean it, and put it back, certainly more complicated than changing a grip.

haha. Maybe I should try the shed route. It's definitely not fun for me but I enjoy it more than handing my clubs off to some drooler.

I would think the cost to clean out the epoxy would be near their reshaft charge since it's close to the same thing.

Removing a graphite shaft is not like removing a steel one.Its a little bit tricky and helps if you have the equiptment for the task.The loose piece of epoxy will most likely NOT come out through the hosel.Normally we use a liquid adhesive and pour a little down the hosel then shake the head and let the bit of epoxy adhere to the liquid.This works in %90 of cases.
