OptiShot, anyone already have it? OptiShot, anyone already have it?

I got OptiShot as a present for Christmas and still haven't been able to set it up. There's nowhere really to set it up in my house and I don't think my garage is big enough.
On the instruction book it says it needs to be set up in a dark room so I'm assuming I can't set it up outside?

I have a tee box in my back yard with a little windowed shed next to it.. My only option right now is putting a TV inside the shed and hitting from the tee box outside, anyone know if this would work?

Or should I just wait til May for real golf and return it for $400

I've been seeing the commercials and, if it works, it seems like it would be really cool. I say go for it and just use it outside at night and report back.

I really want to keep it, I'm going to look for a rental soon with friends and I'm only renting a house that has an ideal spot for it hah

I got one and it's a really fun toy as well as a great training help, since the data it shows is some great feedback when working on your swing.

So it works for a round with friends in the winter as well as providing some driving range practice.

I'd keep it if you think you can find a good spot

Get the $400 and spend it on a moving truck to a climate where you can play golf all year round.

exactly. I've had Tiger Woods Wii and the chickenstick, it was awesome and completely inaccurate but still it was amazing.

I'm a 100% believer it helps in feedback tho, only thing that sucks is hitting off a turf..but I'd be doing that at the regular range anyway

I'm considering buying the optishot2 and setting it up in my garage. Anybody here own it or tried it?

Specifically, I'd like to know if it'll actually give real feedback on my swing so I can try to get rid of my horrible slice.

I am thinking about getting a simulator and was wondering what people thought of the optishot.
Good enough for a high handicap, or should I wait until save up a thousand more for something better?

Simulator and optishot do not belong in the same sentence. Fun toy though

Is the general consensus that this is not worth it as a training aid? I'm considering it since it is the most affordable simulator, but if it is just a glorified video game I will pass.

It's down to $299 on Amazon.

I have it. Not remotely useful as a training device. Fun to play with buddies and beers tho.
