Phil running good with bad tee shots, saving ridiculous pars on 11 and 12. Easily could have been two unplayables there.

Yes, Phil is probably the biggest risk-taker on the tour. For all that I sometimes make fun of him, he is fun to watch and I would love to see him take this down.

Stenson just playing too solid. Phil entering the stage where you have to hold your breathe every tee shot. He needs to get this **** fixed now.

If Phil doesn't win, I'm fine with Stenson...solid player who could put a capstone on his career with a major.

Lol cameramen. Stenson's ballstriking has been near flawless. He doesn't looklike he's gonna flinch.

Stenson nerves are gonna have him crippled by tomorrow morning. Phil wins by 5.

Should be fun, looking like a 2-man battle tomorrow. Fan of both players so will be happy if either wins.

I think it will turn on one shot, like DJ's drive into the bushes today. Someone will put up a double or triple and that will decide it.

As long as Haas doesn't win, for some reason that guy bugs me. Excellent player but so damn boring.

I dreaded in advance all the fluff about America's wonder-boy that we would have to suffer through next year.

I would, however, like to see Robert's do a fluff piece on the last Ryder Cup

Yeah I had to quit pulling for him in US majors as it was just so futile. But he was different at British. I think his curse only applied in USA majors. LOL. He had a stellar record in British and I'm thinking multiple course records, two wins, lots of other high finishes, at least one 63. I'm thinking in that 63 he had one of those putts from a swale off the green that rolled 50 feet back down the hill right to his feet and missed a 12-incher and still shot record 63. Something like that.

Interesting dynamic between Stenson and Phil. Stenson has clearly had a "major worthy" career and yet this may be the closest he's been...ever? I haven't seen a stat as to whether he's had a 54-hole lead before and also can't think of times when he's had a great chance down the stretch.

Sure, from a purely objective standpoint it's better to be ahead by one than trailing by one, but trying to go wire-to-wire lead can be exhausting, and Stenson would probably sleep better if he was trailing by one rather than at the top of the leaderboard. So this is likely the optimal situation for Phil (well, aside from like a 10+ shot lead...). No doubt Phil would love to have one more major before he's done but he's won this before and the baggage of his US Open failures don't weigh him down here.

Not saying Phil is gonna win. Maybe Henrik will seize the tournament by the balls tomorrow like he did at the Players that one time. Maybe Phil's frame of mind will be perfect but his timing will be off so it won't matter. Guess we'll find out. Should be interesting. I'd be fine if either won and hope one of them does because a third party taking it down would likely mean both of them blew up pretty badly.

This is Stenson's first time tied (or) leading at a major through 54 holes.

Pieters, in the middle of a quintuple bogey 9, just snapped his club in half and flung it into the woods, one piece at a time.

Phil bringing the heat so far. This will be an incredible watch. Would be nice if Haas or the caveman-bearded Johnston could get within 3-4 shots to at least give us a sweat of a three-horse race.

Nah, I'm hoping this stays as a 2 man battle and hope it continues to the last hole. Rooting for Phil, but Stenson winning would be nice too.
