Maybe I'm a golf specialist now. I've had all three major winners and in the tank on everything else for six months. Took Stenson after second round, other two before tourney.

Trivia (i'm just guessing both are unique occurrences):

Who is only man to play in final group of major and shoot 65 or lower and not win?

Who is only man to birdie first two holes of a major playoff and not win?

This is my generation's "Duel in the Sun".
Announcers should have been calling it "Duel in the drizzle" but didn't come up with it.

Steven Spielberg had a movie very early in career called "Duel." But that's borderline loosening of associations. Nah, just tangential. I recommend the movie. I've never known anyone who's seen it.

I like'em little and that was a sexy boob there. I was scrolling up from bottom and saw boob before face. Thanks for posting.

Phil shot 65 yesterday.

Norman in the 89 playoff.

Dennis Weaver's finest performance.

I liked how he turned away from his shots the last few holes. Had me fooled thinking he missed; nope, just another dart.

For sure. Nick Price had a very quick tempo, though, and in his prime he was very good. There was stretch in 1993/94 where Price was a machine...and was for sure the best player in the world.

I always thought Norman had a quick tempo too???

I hope the USGA listens to what Phil and others suggest. Stop messing with US Open courses so that the winner is at par for the week. Just set them up and let the weather and the players determine the outcome. If is par or -15, so be it.....

When a ball is two feet from the hole, and almost dead, I don't find it amusing or a reflection of a lack of talent when the ball rolls and rolls and rolls and ends up 15 yards off the green.

By the way, saw an interview with the Stenson wife last night. Very well spoken lady who seems to know her golf. Henrik seems the moody sort so I assume this outcome will do wonders for their marriage.

Yeah but I didn't look it up. I think each of those are the only two.

It just keeps getting sicker with Norman the deeper you look. He birdied first two of playoff, which means playoff over. Not this time. There was a new rule: 4-hole aggregate. So he drives pure on 4th hole, keeps rolling for about 20 seconds. Should be fine ... except not this time, they just put a new pot bunker out there just for this Norman shot, supposedly unreachable but reached it by a foot, just the opposite of Stenson drive on 18 yesterday. Someone said Norman lost that playoff by one shot but I was thinking he actually picked up on the hole after getting stuck in bunker and then flew green OB or something. Not sure. From -2 in playoff to picking up conceding. Jeez.

I think they should make Willie Nelson play the course on Wednesday and par is whatever he shoots.

Man, I love this idea. But then the next year, it should be someone else. Willie Nelson, then Alec Baldwin, then Oprah....

IDK how good of golfers those guys are so I would pick someone that could at least keep par below 85. Seems like a great way for Tiger to rejuvenate his career.
