For most golfers, your handicap is the amount of strokes you take off your score. If you are a + handicap you add strokes to your score at the end.
Jesus. That's impressive.

stadler, I live out in scottsdale and went to ASU.

Just curious of your opinion of the ASU golf team this year? I am friends with A. Quick, he's pretty damn solid in times that I have played with him.

I don't know many of the guys on that team, I played with a couple and thats it. I just know they are young this year I think they have 3-4 freshmen at every event, other than that I don't really know

With the Masters fast approaching it's probably time to get this thread ready for a serious sweat. While it's highly doubtful we'll get any live updates here, most collegiate players in the past have a daily blog through their university.

I hope him and his Dad (assuming he's on the bag) have the time of their lives.

BO

p.s. can Riverman be banned from posting ITT during the event itself?

Riverman's posts itt are fine if not good.

His first post was starting the thread (good).
His second post was responding to your inane request to delete a good thread. (fine - but unnecessary if you wouldn't troll him so hard)
His third post was a link to his interview (good).
His fourth post was asking if Stads gets to sleep in the Crow's Nest, which was answered immediately by the man himself (good).

Now go review your posts itt.

LOL at banning Riverman from any thread. He's a consistently good poster across the forums who knows the game of golf and even when he's bad he's LOL worthy not cringe worthy.

So nitBO, who apparently honestly believes in jinxes, found and decided to participate on a poker forum how exactly?

Anyway, hope stadler takes it in and has a blast. It is truly is the experience of a lifetime, regardless of how far he ultimately goes. Really looking forward to virtual railing.

stadler, does your team get to play practice rounds at various Bay Area private clubs? If so which are your faves? I would think this would be a great perk of college golf.
GL!!

Yes we get to play all over. We play Meadow Club, Lake Merced, San Francisco Golf Club, and TPC Stonebrae very often. There are some others that we play here and there as well in the bay area that are pretty nice too. We are pretty lucky with the courses we get to play.

GL man, have an awesome week. Have you played many practice rounds at Augusta yet?

Yes, I have a good feel for the course and how I will play it. When I get there for practice rounds it will be a matter of getting used to the speed of the course

Have you played Mayacama in Santa Rosa? U.S. Open local there a couple of times. Sweet track and very private.

Did you qualify at Stonebrae 2012?

I went to the tourney a couple of times to follow our Pro ( Windsor, Jason Schmuhl) and it was a hike! Some really funky holes also. I don't think they played it back all the way either, all the Nike players were crying during the practice round.

Good luck next week.

I have played Mayacama once, earlier this year...it's an awesome course I really enjoyed it. And yes I did Monday qualify for the Nationwide event there last year. The course is awesome, for the tournament they moved some tees up and changed the par on a couple holes. During qualifying rounds for my college team we play it all the way back though and it is a pretty good test. It is one of my favorite courses we play.

Thanks for the support guys.

All the best of luck to you at Augusta, Stads. I'll be there on Monday and Wednesday and will be looking for you to hopefully shake your hand and wish you well in person. If you hear some fool call you Stadler, it might be me.
