minus 1 after 5 holes at pumpkin ridge in portland,oregon...

is this the final web.com regular event of the year? probably as it would match the pga tour's final regular event being this week.

he's going to have to dig deep. finished at -2 t29. leaders at -8. 6 birds, 2 bogeys & a double. -15, -20, and -14 have won the past three years. temps this weekend in the mid to high 90s.
wishing i had the time this week to get out to witch hollow and watch, but the only free day i have this weekend i'll be playing golf. predicting Aaron Wise will win.

fighting on back 9 to make cut... indication is 2 more under par will do it and has lots of holes left.

another weaver i know - drew from virginia tech - was minus 8 yesterday. plus 5 today through 11 holes. i don't understand golf... super nice guy. should be in the web.com/pga playoff now. had a decent chance at top 25 before today's round.

Followed him 18 holes at the Utah web event. Solid game didn't make a putt all day. Think he'll be solid on tour in the next few years.

it's amazing how deep pro golf is when I, a casual fan, recognize quite a few names on the leaderboard for early qualifying for a secondary tour

Was browsing all the stage 1 events and saw Ty Tryon making it through pre qualifying but over par for stage 1. Who knew he still even plays golf.

65 in round 4 to qualify!!!

scores were not that low today .......

he's tied 5th and i think the way they sent the groups out that the only players that will pass him are inside the number already.

basically, the worst players got sent out last on probably the 10th.. so it's only top players and bottom players out there right now. all the medium scores after round 3 have finished and posted their 4th round scores.

two acquaintences of mine. one on number. the other one stroke off the number.

looks horrendous for player off the number. not very good for player on the number. with some good scores the number might move up by a stroke and my 2 players are already finished.

i forgot there's 13 players still out there who are inside the number. so some hope for those who were on the number (those players are now off the number)

Nice glad he goes to the finals. Cameron Champ made it to. He has absurd swing speed and makes it look easy

i see him listed as amateur... i didn't realize you could try to qualify as amateur. i thought it would be like PGA championship where you need to be a pro. is cam still at Texas A&M? or has he graduated/left and preserving his amateur status for some - probably obvious - reason?

He is still on their roster and played a few weeks ago. Q school you can qualify as an am since there isn't actual prize money and decide after, fairly common. I imagine if he gets fully exempt to web.com he will turn pro. He will also probably get some sponsors exemptions to big tour when he officially turns pro.

There is prize money available for the top 45 finishers at final stage. Like any professional event, if you enter as an amateur you are not eligible for prize money. More college players over the last few years have entered to see what they can do since it's basically no risk other than the cost of playing.

If you remember ship's Q school stories, he entered as a 30-something amateur and advanced to final stage and in the process had multiple officials confused as to how this was supposed to work. I remember - we've got an amateur here... no, he doesn't look like he's in college....
