I'm new, does anyone have a link about how the scores and stuff work? Like can Jordan finish dead last but still qualify for the next one because of the points from his regular season success?

Only downside of match play is that it isn't a TV-friendly event which I'm sure the sponsors would hate.

Personally, I'd love some twist in format for the FedEx Cup. At the moment, it's really just a cash grab with a points system that is impossible to folow with no special meaning to me, and I consider myself in the top 1% of fans of the PGA Tour. If it can't raise excitement for me in any way, there is no chance it does anything for the casual fan.

I suppose if I'm critical of the current structure that I should have a proposed alternative but I don't.

Spieth going to shoot like 64 today. Kinda surprised at the 74 but not really. Will be incredibly surprised if he shoots anything E or worse today though

Just read that Spieth changed his irons before this tournament? Nothing like changing your clubs after the best season of your career and probably 2nd best season in the last decade overall

Is there a more country club name than Hudson Swafford?

Hudson Swafford leads by miles in that category. There used to be a regular named Briny Baird who brought out the same vibe when you saw the name. I just scrolled through the top 259 PGA Tour money earners this year, and Hudson Swafford blows the field away so bad, that I think Charles Howell III is probably second...lol. There are three Cameron's on the list, so they get honorable mention.

A guy who occasionally has a tour card who might be top five is Tag Ridings, and there is a guy on the Web.com tour named Hunter Hamrick.

Looks like Swafford in a blowout though. He went to college at the University of Georgia, and from his Wikipedia it states.

"Swafford is a member of the Gridiron Secret Society".

Agree that there have been some exciting tournaments, but those tournaments (eg Haas's shot out of the water) don't stand out any more than other great shots to win tournaments. Meanwhile, iconic shots that have won Majors stand out from those that won the John Deere or Byron Nelson.

So if day wins this week is he world number 1?
