Lefty and Greg Norman (!) have committed to play the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation (formerly Bob Hope) in two weeks.

Tiger's 2012 will start the following week in Abu Dhabi, and his domestic schedule starts at Pebble, as mentioned above.

Surprised Tiger is playing Pebble. Doesn't he always complain about how bumpy the greens are this time of year?

I got him in my season-long pool though so I guess the more tourneys the better, as long as he doesn't miss a cut.

AT&T is the sponsor, that's reasons numbers one, two, and three that he is playing. Number four is likely that skipping Torrey means starting the PGA Tour season super late.

I know Tiger's got some money in the bank even after the divorce, but I too doubt his pockets are that deep.

Isn't AT&T the presenting sponsor for his Washington D.C. event as well?

No doubt he needs to add a couple of tournaments to his rotation that he hasn't played in the past few years, and for personal political reasons this particular event probably makes sense.
