Dumb question. Is the entire tournament a pro-am? I was under the impression that most tournaments hold a pro am round on Wed. I might make some wagers, but I don't want bill Murray being the reason I win or lose.

Re: Official 2012 PGA Tour (non-majors) discussion thread
Yeah, the first 3 rounds are full blown pro-ams and then I think they cut most of them before Sunday.
Going from memory Saturday coverage is almost unwatchable for me because they show more shots from Kevin James than the leaders.

I remember watching that live and thought is was pretty amusing. Then little Johnny Miller opened his big mouth again. I can't stand Johnny Miller. He's such a wise-ass smarty-pants commentator who won a U.S. Open, big deal.

I think he's been in the top ten for a few years now.

I like my team. The only "struggle" I had was between Levin or O'Hair. I went Levin as he has played very well early in the week and then struggled on the weekend (this scoring format only gives points for birdies, eagles and then deducts for bogeys, doubles, etc.) so making the cut is big.

Well last week had a disappointing ending...
Here is my roster this week for Pebble Beach under a $100k salary cap:
Dustin Johnson $25,044
Bryce Molder $22,461
D.J. Trahan $14,391
John Mallinger $12,409
Cameron Tringale $12,620
Kevin Chappell $12,842 (it was between him and Reavie here which are almost identical prices; taking the Cali kid playing in his home state)
Went with the above over below:
Dustin Johnson $25,044
Hunter Mahan $26,605
Bobby Gates $11,087
Brendan Steele $13,643
Trevor Immelman $15,190
Brian Harman $7,999
I don't really like the fact Mahan has been flying all over the wolrd and only played 6 holes last week before WD so hopefully he doesn't have a great week this week.

i've been saying this for years (and was laughed at by some in this forum for the exact same wording Tiger is using).
they need to get the change implemented ASAP.

Why?
And they would never change during the middle of the year, the ruling bodies would implement such at the start of a calendar year to give touring pros the time to get used to something else during the off season. Same as they did with the groove change.

I dont get it. If a long/belly putter is such an advantage then why not start practicing with one as opposed to complaining about it?

Well, that begs the question, do you think amateurs should be able to use them?

Bring back the shot by shot feature when you click "info" beside a player on the leaderboard!

I don't understand why people complain about them as giving some sort of advantage yet they, themselves, don't use them...I mean lol.

FWIW, i'm looking into carrying 2 putters in the bag this season. i struggle with short putts but make a high % of those short putts with a belly putter.
as i mentioned, i believe a distinction should be made in the rules for professional events in regards to this issue.
