I normally don't get excited about distance, but Kyle Stanley flying 9-iron pin high for a second shot on a 595-yard par 5 is absurd.

I am pretty sure that hole is measured weird. If you see the overhead of it there are two fairways and I bet they measure the longer one. It's probably 525 on the line they are taking it....I could see some donkeys here falling for the driver 9 iron 595'r, but not the NIT.

Wow, looks like now Stanley is dead under a cactus.

Also, noT sure how many years they've been using this flag on 17 on Sunday. The back left from yesterday used to be the one they used today. It's a totally different hole.
