It's a great field of 18, only problem is it's only 18.
Case in point, the Aussie Open three weeks ago. A very comparable top 18 in that tournament, and Tiger beat the other 17. But he lost to Greg Chalmers and John Senden, two guys who will probably never be good enough to play in Tiger's tournament.
In a typical PGA event, there would be another 138 guys competing and 120+ of those are capable of beating Tiger over 72 holes. Only takes one to have the week of his life and win.
Fact is, it's really tough to win a PGA event. Current studs Kuchar, Day, and Mahan failed to do so this year. Tiger spoiled lots of people by making it look easy. But now he's older, shorter off the tee comparatively speaking, and most importantly, nobody is afraid of him like they were for 10 years.
I realize I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, just pointing out some general facts so others can realize it's not going to be as easy as many think. But the Masters will be his best chance to win by far because course knowledge is so important.
