Lolololol pretty easy to troll when you asked for odds...a story about each hole out and a humble brag post would have been more appropriate IMO

2*18/350*x*50/3*100+100+250/2*x=3.5=3.50%

Ok I'll give you a shot at a real answer.

The odds of one person getting a double eagle are at least 1 million to 1...some places say it is 6 million to 1.

If you were to have said before your dad got it, what are the odds we both get one in the next three months, it would have been basically zero (1 in 1,000,000 ^ 2 at best)

Although if you had 150 in it must be a really short par 5, so maybe a little better, but still basically zero.

That's a pretty cool/good answer, hamdoggg.

Frankie, nice job hitting it 70 yards past your old man.

at first glance those odds are astounding but 3 things:

1) the yardages, esp for you, make this story basically the same as two holes in one on a par 3. and there have definitely been 2 holes in one in one foursome before. basically it's like one hole in one on easy par 3 and one on hard par 3.. your dad's "hole in one" is long and i assume long for him. does he make the green in 2 alot there?

2) this is nitty but the odds would be different between 1) you and your dad only; 2) you and every player you know well. so many more possibilities with more people.

3) can you see the hole? i know a course where kids did stuff like this because you couldn't see the hole

great story... and real cachet that it was two double eagles even though the one approach yardage is more akin to "hole in one" shot

I know it is 1.3 million to 1 to have two players of the same foursome make a hole in one in the same round. Brag: Buddy and me did that last year, that's how I know, according to golf digest. I imagine its close to that but a little less since it's not the same round. Double eagle of course is less likely, but sounds like shorter than usual par 5's.

A double eagle is said to be like 1 million to 1 so....

Not much of a par 5 if you are hitting wedge for your second. Is it par five from any tee box?

We have two at my home course like that.

Par 5 on the card for whites and blues, par 4 for the blacks

Both play like 430 from the whites, 475-490 from the blues and the Black tees are in front of the blues 465-470.

I could play the whites and have 150 in after a good drive

It's probably a million to one for any golfer to hit a double eagle on any given par five but a lot better odds for any golfer playing that teebox on that par 5.
