When it's comes to putting I have always put best putter last so they get to see the line 3 times if we all miss...
w/r/t driving, just from a theory point of view, it would probably depend on how good he (and to a lesser degree, the other three) is. If you put him first, and he doesn't hit one well, it puts more pressure on the rest of you and can cause you guys to all take some off.
I'd say, start off with the worst guy. Tell him to just try to put something in play. If he puts one in a position that's playable, the rest of you can just blast off. If he doesn't, move on down the line until someone hits a safe shot, leaving the guys who can hit the farthest for the end.
