Re: MISC/RANDOM/BS Golf Chatter Thread

i know there are a bunch of ways a caddy can cost his player a penalty but i'm thinking one huge way is stepping on the line of his upcoming putt.

is that correct? anything else you have to be very careful with? do all the rules that apply to the player apply to the caddy?

Don't touch the ground in the line of a putt with the flagstick.

Re: MISC/RANDOM/BS Golf Chatter Thread

One thing I've noticed is caddies when holding the flagstick is they hold it upside down (so the flag is almost touching the ground). Is that the reason they do it? Never understand why they would before.

I caddied in a Canadian Tour event a few years ago. Just make sure your guy doesn't have more than 14 clubs, keep the clubs and ball clean. The other caddies will help you out with raking bunkers, the flag etc

It's usually to stop the flag from flapping in the wind

Re: MISC/RANDOM/BS Golf Chatter Thread

Is this forum active? I lurk here from time to time but can't really tell. I'm gonna try to chop like 25 strokes off my game and was kind of hoping to post swing videos a few times a week, maybe some round updates, etc. and I don't really have a blog or anything with an audience that would care about such things and be able to give intelligent feedback

Pacific Dunes (one of the Bandon courses) is a Par 71 with FOUR par 3s on the BACK, and three par 5s. Front side has one 5 and one 3.

Re: MISC/RANDOM/BS Golf Chatter Thread

I'm having an issue with my hybrids. I hit them pure on par 5s when I'm hitting my 2nd shot, either laying up or going for it, but when I use them on a long par 4 when I'm trying to hit the green on my 2nd shot, or I'm teeing it up on a long par 3, I ****ing choke like a lil biyatch. These damn clubs were supposed to make this shot easier, not harder. I hit them so well on the par 5s, tho.

I have no idea what's going on with the par 4's, but sometimes teeing the ball too high on a par 3 can cause problems. Maybe hit them off the ground or tee it extremely low.
