feeling much better and was able to get another practice round in @ crooked stick. 79 this time and felt like it should have been 76. really need to find time to get out for a real game soon. my dogtrack muni is so damn flat, i feel like i'm going to finally break 80 no problem when i finally go.
Until u have to putt those ones inside 7 feet that are gimmies on your sweet little machine.
and always walks the morning rounds while carrying.
should also mention he's headed to Scotland next week to play something like 23 rounds in 20 days....probably the 6th or 7th Scotland/Ireland trip he's made.
So I finally got off my high horse and played a sim round using my crappy range balls I have instead of the prov1's I have a ton of (someone gave me 100+ logo balls) and hit it sooooo much better. The spin on the prov1's is killing my driver and irons, but I love chipping and putting with the so much. I can get a bit of spin/check with these damn range balls.
I need a ball recommendation. Driver speed is ~89mph and I love a soft ball for putting.
Anything low enough spin to keep my driver and irons straight, but I can get some feel around the greens on?
Two non pro v1 balls I like are the the srixon z star and the Bridgestone B330 line
The driving range were I play gets showered with golf balls from people slicing off the 1st tee. Due to this, I get to try every ball that exists. I have been pleasantly surprised with both those balls. With the advantage going to Bridgestone.
Pro V1 is by far the longest and best ball on the market if it works for you.
Around here they have buy 3 dozen get 1 free with free personalization twice a year. Can't beat it and just throw a company logo on it and boom write off.
so i have the bridgestones, x1's and tm tours. no callaways at the local shop.
hit them all in the cage and they all where about the same. guessing anything other then the prov1's are going to be beneficial to me.
played a round with the bridgestones and really like them so far. This course was relatively new to me, so did not have similar previous chips to compare spin/check to, but it was less then use to for sure.
got nine in with the x1's and they check up a bit better for sure.
here is the bridgestone round. 18 @ NGLA The National.
score
Spoiler:
86. Probably my best round on the sim to date. shot a 74 @ tpc boston, but this course was much tougher for my game with the longer par4's
I'm new to golf but have been playing a lot this summer and really trying to get better. I'm hoping someone can suggest a website/app that can track my handicap. I found one which even takes into consideration how easy/difficult a course is, however it's only available in the U.S and I'm a Canadian player.
