I'm in the Seattle area for the weekend and, man, the weather is spectacular. Wish I had brought my clubs!

I've played that course 3 or 4 times on different trips to Hawaii. They are going to strongly encourage you to move up from those tees. The course puts a huge premium on accuracy. And not just left-right, but distance control as well, especially with the elevation changes. Good luck! And take pics...

I have the first time of the day. Even if they end up pairing me up with somebody hopefully they will just let me go off as a single. Then nobody will care

Between Ko'Olau and Kapalua I'm guessing I will be taking plenty of pics on the trip.

Nice! I would have to get another set to match my gamers for how much I would play that.

anyone here ever deal with tendinitis/golfers elbow in the right arm (for a righty)? I'm almost positive repetitive computer work is the cause, but it's hurt like hell the past few rounds, even with generous doses of aleve.
I have a friend that found success using one of those straps around the upper forearm, but my pain is on the inside knob of the elbow and his was on the outside. not sure it will work the same.

Thanks. Although their "normal" price is lower than everyone else around the 50% does make a good deal. They are giving me $18 over what other sites are. Actually will get more than what I was selling it for on WRX.

Thanks again!

How could you dump the DF Rossie 2? That thing is a classic.

I am currently on staff with Callaway and I'm putting with the Odyssey White Hot RX 2. I really like the feel. It's hard for me to tell the difference in all of the different White Hot putters, but this feels very good. It's a very affordable option compared to Scotty's and other milled putters like it.

Yes had it a couple months ago. Bought a forearm strap and it seemed to help. Used that and didn't swing a club for ~2-3 weeks and it went away. The strap will work for both golfer's elbow and tennis elbow.

thanks. i'm thinking the primary cause is mouse related at work and inflamed by golf. have a golfing friend that used the strap and it seems to have helped him.

No real reason other than the fact that there's currently some putter talk going on:

Best Putter Ever and I hope I never lose it

4.5" of rain yesterday and another 3.5" anticipated over the next 24 hours. Hopefully course will be open by the middle of next week. Might have to make a weekend trip over to Orlando to play.

Course has been closed since Wednesday. They are opening one course on Sunday and the other Monday (at least that's the plan). Looks like they go about 8" of rain in 48 hours.

Here is the road that runs alongside #1 on the South course. This is usually a 1 foot wide drainage ditch.

Ouch, pretty wet :/

Rainy august here too, one sunday played around 10 AM, caddiemaster said that from 7 to 8 it rained 4 inches hah. Nine days not golfing, did buy a putting mat and been playing around with it. Noticed that I´ve been putting from the heel, fml. Now have to get the new contact point to brain, but the contact and roll does feel nice.

Has there been much discussion here on the Guy Laiberte funded Major Series of Putting?

From my understanding they built a putting stadium in Vegas and every March will host a series of events for amateurs and pros alike. https://msop.com/p/championship/MSOP-2017

I like the idea and it will be interesting to see how the first year turnout is. Very few people can hit the ball 300 yards and work the ball like the pros, but a lot of people think they can putt.

After seeing the commercials in GC I went to the website to check it out. Looks like they have an amateur competition for $300 and a professional one for $3k. They have mega satellites around the country to get in on the cheap.

I wonder how many people think they putt well though. I know of like one person who is truly a good putter, and he has been a member for 30 years so he knows the greens.

highlight includes a nice par off a rock @ 56:00

That's pretty cool. If I ever move I'm going to make sure I have space for a simulator room.

2 questions for you guys:

1). Situation - par 4 approach comes up about 15 yards short of the green. Green is elevated about 10-12 feet. What club and what type of shot to you play here?

2). My swing speed is around 98 mph. How do I know what is the best ball for me to be using? Have no clue on the difference between a 2 and 3 piece ball.
