Have you played Ballyneal? It always looked very cool but I've never been out that way.

speaking of nebraska golf, anyone ITT lucky enough to play Sand Hills? Coore/Crenshaw are a fantastic design duo and i imagine it's even a better course than the reviews.

It's amazing pure golf even for a hack like me. Wide open landing areas, punitive bunkers, no straight putts. Mandatory caddies. Do check it out if you have the chance. We paid about 1100 each for all you can golf two days plus single occupant lodging plus restaurant plus heavy bar tabs.

I've got photos somewhere if I can find em I'll upload.

I played with two kids at Bethpage Black this year from Nebraska and I asked them about Sand Hills. They said it's awesome.

My travels never really take me near there but if I ever do I hope it's Summertime.

Were you able to do that without being a member?

I've never even heard of a 150 slope. That has to be crazy. The pictures on their website look amazing.

I was with a member. Gotta network on. I think the club had some ownership changes so who knows how it works now? But there's always a price.

here's the photos

Very cool. A few weeks ago I was reading about the changes they've undergone and it sounds like the membership pricing has dropped quite a bit.

Been playing Bethpage Black on the sim getting ready for this weeks sim tournament and the front nine absolutely brutalizes me. Course is shortened to ~6600 for the sim and still just kills you.

played this course a few years ago and had a blast. amazing scenery and views, bring a lot of balls or hit irons off every tee

would also recommend playing Royal Hawiian Golf Club if you're staying on Oahu

Rule of thumb that I read is to bring the same number of balls as your handicap. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will be hitting hybrid off of a number of tees to keep it in play.

I will be on Oahu for 6 days, over to Maui for 3 days (playing Kapalua Plantation) then back to Oahu for another 5 days. Tough work trip, I know.

That sounds like it'd be a pretty tough rule for scratch-players and plus-hcpers...

Few dallas guys here. NitBO works there. Its overrated imo, greens never good as they should be for the price. But the course layout is pretty good and scenic. Get your money's worth on the food and you got a good deal.

39-39-78 at cowboy club. No birdies no doubles.

Pretty nice course but not super difficult as long as you keep it In play.

Sweet, thanks. I also had a $25 gift card to use too. After shipping you can't beat shoes for <$20.

Those shoes are pretty sexy, especially for the price. Unfortunately I'm convinced 1/16" variance in shoe height will affect my swing. ie I prefer to wear the same shoes for every round.

As westhoff said, I work there running the tournaments. I was the one up top taking care of the Wounded Warriors event we had in the afternoon. Assuming you went off just in front of them.

Hopefully the service from everybody was top notch and somebody met you at the bag drop and took your clubs down to your cart. We pride ourselves on our service.

Ya I went off at 1pm. Ad a lot of fun, not super challenging from the silver as long as you can keep it in play. Definitely want to come play again once the greens heal.

Staff was awesome too.

I was able to play Kapalua Plantation (PGA Hyundai Tournament of Champions) while on my honeymoon. Course is absolutely amazing. Shot 45-40=85 (par 73) with rentals (and hated the putter they provided) from the 2nd to the back "regular" tees. Feel like I could've threatened 80 with my clubs.

Some pics...
1 from clubhouse

4 fairway looking back at 3

5 green with fairway on right, 6 on left

7... was paired with a college golfer who played the tips (515 par 4). He had ~75 left after his tee shot.

11... me teeing off

18 from tee

18 approach from ~230
