Ugh, 54 hole tournaments. Oh well, I'll probably be able catch Saturday's coverage.

Not sure if it's late enough for the greenheads to be out in force yet or not. I ****ing hated playing that course. If you went inland like, 5 miles, there were almost no bugs.

Watched the coverage, it was pretty amusing that the only player out on the course near the top of the leader board was Nordquist.

I know it's a very short course and conditions were benign but kudos to Icher for shooting 62. No free passes to low scores on Ross greens!

This week the LPGA travels to the state of Washington for the the playing of the KMPG Women's PGA Championship. This is the second Major Championship of the season. It is also the start of an extremely important part of the 2016 LPGA schedule that will include 3 Major Championships and the UL International Crown in the next 8 weeks.

tony, thanks for sharing your work...

does lpga majors play differently than many regular stops? regular stops often look really wide open to me.

seattle not too far from where i live............. i may keep an eye on any of brooke/thai woman/lexi/wie being in contention and head there sunday. wouldn't be cheering for wie but i think it would be great spectacle. and of course i wouldn't outwardly cheer against her.

I think you will find the fairways narrower, and the rough much higher.

christina kim back from the dead.......

never thought that would happen as i thought she'd completely lost her game i.e. tour quality contact.

http://golfweek.com/2016/06/08/lpga-...-driver-major/

Ariya isn't going to play with a driver.......... you could almost read it as nothing longer than 2 iron. probably too much RBTL though.

are they talking practice rounds or real rounds? it seems inconsistent in describing it.

i'm thinking she'll have driver but not hit it much.

for people who don't know the publication well, "golf week" has great stories

I expect she'll carry and use a 3 wood like she has been. She has definitely played events recently without having a driver in the bag.

Really looking forward to some prime time golf.

I like the In-Gee 20-1 number.

I am placing Michelle Wie's over/under at +4 today. What side do you take?

wow, very exciting... brooke, thai hot shot, a real golf course near where i live.

brooke leads by 2 with the hole in one. minus 4.

christina kim in the chase pack as are kerr and inbee park - imbee?

paula had it going for awhile but now #1.

hot shot thai at +1 but lots of time. maybe to have more bogeys though as it's afternoon round.

lexi was +4 when i checked her last.. she was way over par very early.... michelle wie about the same.

lydia minus 1?

i'm like a broken record on this but are brooke and ariya the new breed? pound the ball and have decent short games... as opposed to just pound the ball or being pretty short hitters.

Ariya starting to heat up a little, anything even par or better is a great start for her.

It is hilarious watching these putts hit the lip, spin around some and then drop. WTF. One of them must have done a 720 before falling.

Where I play golf those never go in. Heck, putts that hit the back of the hole don't go it.

It really is different out there.

The Carrie Webb one went half way back to where she putted from, she didn't look very entertained, but I was.

rained a ton last night where i live about 2 hours from the course.

pretty bad scoring today............. people think soft greens - good - but if fairways get really wet, it affects drive distance and clean contact. also heavy air cuts down on driving distance too.

haven't thought it through much but will later in the day be worse scores like most tourneys. and i think it was that way yesterday.

unless brooke has very good afternoon, going to be very tight leaderboard.

i should note that generally nice, private courses have really good drainage......... but it rains like you wouldn't believe sometimes in the PNWest. best drainage in world is no match for PNW rain - more a fall/winter thing though.

PNW rough also is bad........... and then it's like "a creature from greek mythology" when it rains alot. sorry to blatantly rip-off seinfeld

michelle wie +13

creamer has dropped way off pace..

wonder if lexi can put in a good round today - should favour long hitters - or completely implode - her steep angle of attack will be problem......... i think she bounced back nicely yesterday after horrific start.
