I guess this belongs here.

19th hole of US Girls Amateur semifinal. One girl misses a 4 footer to about 3 inches, grabs the ball with her club to pick it up. Opponent says "I didn't say that was good". Because she didn't complete the hole and the opponent didn't concede the putt she lost. Hahahah

Looking forward to the US press and fans giving her the same treatment they gave Pettersen in the Solheim cup.

Wow that's complete ****ing garbage. Karma is a *****, even for kids.

Edit: Although I thought you could replace the ball to its approximate point with no penalty.

Which one did this? I'm watching it now...these little girls have ice water in their veins. Good players, too. I'm impressed.

I don't mind playing by the rules. That's a good lesson for the one who picked it up. Like the first time you mucked your cards too early and realized you woulda won the hand.

The lefty girl was the winner of the match yesterday when her opponent screwed up.

Also: Enjoyed watching the WSO today, conditions were capital-M miserable. Gotta love summer in Scotland.

This week the LPGA tour will stay in Scotland for the second consecutive week, for the playing of the Ricoh Women's British Open. Ariya Jutanugarn will be trying to defend the title she won last year in Milton Keynes, England, when she won her first Major Championship by 3 strokes over Mo Martin and Mirim Lee.

Here is my preview:

I just read that Laura Davies had to go through final qualifying today to make it into the field. And she did make it, so she will make her 37th straight start. I know she can't compete like she used to, but you think she'd get as many exemptions as she wanted.

Also, Paula Creamer had to Monday qualify today. Her career is on the way down, and she won't be making the Solheim Cup team.

Davies hasn't played well for quite some time now and has used up most of her exemtions.

I agree with you about Paula.

Glad to see I.K. Kim win a major. Well deserved. Bonus to have Wie play well!

It will be different not to have Morgan Pressel or Paula Creamer on the Solheim Cup team. Not at all surprised to see Angel Yin as a captain's pick but Austin Ernst was a bit surprising to me. I probably would have taken Marina Alex.
