why doesn't someone sponsor Asia vs. America or Asia vs. World in golf? or is that exactly what LPGA dreads?

Japan birdied the last two and needed them both to win 1 up. Reid holed a 20 footer on 18, but Japan had two in close. Reid shot -6 on the back 9.

Great effort by Mel Reid. And great that she got the chance, that it wasn't an auto-forfeit.

Looks like every team is still alive, tomorrow is huge.

No one would stand a chance vs Asia.

They should make four groups:

South Korea
USA
Europe
ROW

Rotate who you play every year.

This is a fun event. I'd like to see them expand it to 12 teams.

I wonder if any other countries have TV crews, if I were a fan of basically any other country than the USA I'd want to nuke write a strongly-worded letter to Golf Channel. FFS Group A isn't decided, there are two AUS-ROK matches on the course and they're showing nothing!

Edit: And now it's thunderstorm time. Swell.

While watching I was thinking "I haven't seen So Yeon Ryu" all day.

How hard is it to give an "as it stands" running point total, Golf Channel? Looks like it might come down to the Lexi v Ryu match.

lol, they put one up right when the coverage switched over when none of the matches was anywhere close to decided. Now when it might make sense, nope.

I don't think Lexi will come back, if Kerr holds on it'll come down to how Taiwan and England finish.

Oh swell, more weather.

How about that, Lexi made a putt.

But if she is 1 down no way she makes it.

British Open time, let's do this. I'd sure prefer a classic links course over Woburn, but what are you going to do. Coverage kicks off at 0430 server time.

Just catching up on today's coverage. Looks like the second stretch more or less led off with Michelle Wie hitting an unbelievably terrible shot.

Also: It's not St Andrews or anything but I rather like what I've seen of Woburn so far.

So painful to watch Wie swing right now. So short, so quick, so ... bad. Lots of talk of injuries being a factor but I want to know if Leadbetter has anything to do with this nonsense. Her putting, what they showed of it anyway, actually looked fairly decent.

Lexi's putting continues to be turrible. She just has no confidence with the flat stick.

It was pretty hilarious of the LGU to pair Linda Wessberg with Lydia and Charley Hull. She got more TV time than she's had in all the years since the '07 Solheim Cup put together.

I think I read that Mirim Lee hit all 18 greens. Her putting stroke was obviously on today but it doesn't look rock solid to my amateur eyes, there is some wobble, some handsyness or something to it. Still -10 is super impressive.
