I can't remember the last time I saw a pro just melt down like that. I mean, I get just losing interest after the fiasco on 11, happens to me all the time. But I'm not a pro.

On an unrelated note, I watched pretty much all the coverage today. Fox golf coverage seems to get pretty mixed reviews, but one thing they did really, really well -- they showed a lot of live golf. Very few features, very few cliched interviews, not much unrelated crap.

jean van de velde?? although that was course management/strategy/level head NOT technique.

surprised you don't see more chunks with wedges.....

did anyone see that player at scottish open this morning miss way right, retee, miss way left, retee and put it on front of green. although he found 2nd ball and i think was able to play it without a drop

this course seems really boring to me. at least for a USO... precision irons and delicate short game situations should only be part of the USO difficulty. personally i like the deep rough and not overly generous fairways... seems like difficult course but a difficult resort course.

JD might be a good comparison. I thought about Van de Velde, but yeah, different circumstances.

I'll be hoping for a So Yeon charge today, but if it's not in the cards I'd like to see Feng or Yang win, they've paid their dues and are clearly topmost tier players.

pretty cool seeing a 17-year-old am at the top of the leaderboard. rooting for her to take it down.

Nice resume for Choi. Played on the KLPGA tour the last 2 seasons full time as an amateur.

A friend needs to tell Feng that when you are big girl with a little extra weight, dressing in a black and white cow outfit might not be a good idea.

Feng's go-to Halloween costume must be Sloth from The Goonies.

i wondered same thing a couple of weeks ago..... but i think Feng is "in on the joke" and embraces it........ personally i think it's great assuming she is "in" on the joke.

She was interviewed several weeks ago when she broke out the cow outfit and had a great answer, that she started wearing it because people kept calling her Inbee [Park]. From everything I've seen Feng is awesome.

Good win for Park. Only caught the last few holes, but she made great shots down the stretch and deserved the win. Felt bad for Choi that she dumped in the water on 16.

Not a fan, really, of the course after seeing it this week. It had its challenges, obviously, but I just didn't think it was interesting.

felt bad for that amateur hitting into the water on an easy hole - although the pin placement might have been tight.

i read feng saying she wears the cow print outfits so her fans can recognize her from very very far away.........

no one wants to be unattractive but i'm assuming she isn't fixated on looks like much of the rest of the world - don't get me wrong, i am guilty too.

This week the LPGA travels to the state of Ohio for the playing of the Marathon Classic Presented by Owens Corning and O-I. Lydia Ko will be trying to defend the title she won last year when she defeated Ariya Jutanugarn and Mirim Lee in a playoff. It was Ko's second win at this event in the last 3 years. It was also Ko's last victory on the LPGA tour.

WRONG! It was a 3rd round collapse. The only way I see her getting a win is coming from behind and posting a number an hour before the final group comes in.

This week the LPGA moves to Scotland for the playing of the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. This is the inaugural season for this event. It will be played at the Dundonald Links in North Ayrshire, Scotland. This event is co-sanctioned by both the LPGA and the LET (Ladies European Tour).

I'm kinda looking forward to this week since I got to play Dundonald, but I'm definitely looking forward to the WBO. Very interested to see Kingsbarns.

Back in early April I wrote who I thought were the biggest surprises and biggest disappointments of the year. The LPGA had only played 7 tournaments at that point. So much has changed since then. The LPGA has now played 21 of the 34 tournaments on this year's schedule, and I think it is time to take another look.
