Played the Wigwam Gold course on Friday. Rack rate on Wigwam's website was $171. Internet rate was $54.

If you want to play cheap golf in Vegas the best thing to do is get/make a casino ID. I play Pauite for $40 and Badlands for $55. There are many great courses that offer excellent unpublished "casino" rates if you ask.

Oh my God. I have played Pauite before with family when they visit, and it is actually my favorite course i've ever played, but it's still been over 100 with "resident discount", could you please describe how this process works? By casino ID do you mean players card or employee card, or something else? This is something I would absolutely take advantage of. A lot.

Re: Golf in Las Vegas

Yea, if you are a casino employee just present your ID at the desk, the rate is generally much lower than the resident rate.

Also, it's ridiculous that you have a fake casino card.

Why do you say that, sounds like it saves a lot of money. Surely you cannot think this is worse than a fake ID for gambling/booze? In fact, I think it is a much, much tamer offense.

Re: Golf in Las Vegas

Bump.

I'm going to be there by Thursday midday and my friend who is driving wants to play Thursday and possibly Friday. So far he's suggested:

Royal Links - I guess this is one of those courses that has mock holes around the world? He cited a $60 twilight rate.

Stallion Ranch - well he said that but I see a Stallion Mountain mentioned in the post above this.

Neither of these courses are mentioned anywhere else in this thread. Any feedback on these? Or steer us in a better direction? We'll be coming up from Phoenix so a course on the way into town (through Henderson) could work as well.

Thanks! In lieu of feedback regarding current deals and course conditions I'll reference this thread.

Re: Golf in Las Vegas

Hi guys,

I get to Vegas tonight, and I'll be there until July 11th. I'm bringing my clubs, so if anyone wants to play, shoot me a PM. I'm staying at the Palms, and I don't have a car.

Need Course Suggestions for Vegas Next Week Please Help

I'm going to Vegas next week and would like to know if someone could recommend the best courses to play under 200 dollars.

So far I am booked at GS Paiute which I heard was really good.

Can someone suggest some other great courses to play.

Is Bali Hai a rip off or is it worth playing?

Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Good info in this thread. I reiterate my recommendation for Badlands (Desperado/Diablo).

Re: Need Course Suggestions for Vegas Next Week Please Help

I recently played Bali Hai during my trip to WSOP. It's a very nice resort course. Wide open and forgiving, very well maintained, and one of the better resort courses out there. The only other course I have played in Vegas is The Legacy. Also another nice course that I liked.

Lake Las Vegas - Reflection Bay

Played last year absolutely gorgeous course, easily best and most difficult I ever played.

Possible pricier than you wanted, thank god I only payed 30.

Is worth it, some great views from the teeboxes, and a nice run along water with one short par 3 peninsula type green

The thread that oT linked is very helpful. If all else fails send a PM to ClarkNasty, he has some definite opinions on courses in the area.
