I will also need to pick up some equipment. I want a new hybrid and my buddy wants a new driver. Where are the best equipment deals in town?

Of those you listed Rhodes Ranch, Badlands, and Siena are a cut above Wildhorse, Painted Desert, and Highland Falls (in my opinion), have not played the others.

Cool. Thanks guys. We've got a $60 Friday noon tee time at Pauite Wolf but are still looking for a Saturday round.

With respect to equipment I see that Las Vegas Golf and Tennis has a new "superstore" across the interstate from Aria. Anyone checked this out?

Hey guys, we're staying in Aria and want to play a round of golf with 4 guys and need to rent gear. Any advice for us where to go?

We don't want to pay too much, $75-150 uncluding gear would be an astimate on what we'd like to pay, we have to take a cab btw

I know I already posted a few pages back too, but one of us can't stand more than 30 minute cab rides so that kinda limits our options doesnt it?

so i was recently bitten by a radioactive mosquito and it gave me the dreaded golfluenza virus.

i've been practicing at the callaway center every day but i feel like i gotta be throwing tons of money away. every day there's 50 people on the mats and two people on the grass, no serious golfers here.

which course currently has the best deal for locals? i'd love to buy some kind of season pass or range pass. i live in the southwest so hopefully there's something in my neighborhood.

Not sure what the cost would be for a cab ride to Badlands but you will enjoy it.

It is in Summerlin

gonna play only one round on Wednesday March 14th while there for march madness and will not have a car so gonna cab from downtown (old vegas). Should I just play Las Vegas National Golf Club? There is another similarly titled course Las Vegas Golf Club I see on the map but doesn't look as nice. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just got back had to cancel one round due to the wind. Heck they even closed the airport as gusts hit 65 MPH.

Played Coyote Springs $60 and loved it but super slow 5-1/4 hours was a little dry but a treat.
Played Alliante $40 slow again 5 hours but great shape

Played Anthem Revere Lexington for $80 4 hour round what a treat. This is now in my top 3 for Vegas but a challenge

How about the Angel Park within a few minutes from Badland?

Please compare the two.

No comparison Angel Park a flat forgiving course while Badlands carved out of canyons and target golf. Also Badlands always in great shape. Both Enjoyable

Angel Park is a simple muni and Badlands is a tough target golf course, they are very different. I also really like Revere lexington (I think they have some of the best views of the strip of any course I've played in vegas) but I keep hearing they are going bankrupt and won't be open much longer.

Anyone up for a round of golf during the WSOP? Renting a villa in Silverado Ranch with a bunch of non-golfing friends and have time for couple of rounds around 10th - 14th June.

If your skill level is about the same (HCP 13, played 13 months) small(ish) betting is also an option. I have couple of other friends who will stay during the whole series bring their bags along so there could be more of us Finns coming too.

I am going to Vegas next week and I want to play at the Wynn or Shadow Creek and wondered if anyone has played both. I am staying at the Encore so the Wynn would be convenient but would be willing to go to Shadow Creek if it's worth it. Just looking for a little feedback on which one everyone would play if they could only play one.

shadow creek.

aren't both courses insanely expensive, though?

I am guessing they are $500 or so per round. I have run into the problem of needing to be a MGM guests to get a weekend tee time for Shadow Creek. If needed, I found a room at the MGM for $95 on 6/21. I would book the room for one night and still stay at the Encore if everyone thought Shadow Creek was the preferred choice over the Wynn course.

i've never played either course but i know people who play shadow creek all the time and never play at the wynn even though wynn is insanely convenient if you're on or near the strip.

both courses are probably close to the worst value for a round of golf that you'll find anywhere. you can play pebble freakin' beach for $500!

if you're wealthy, why not, but if this is any kind of a splurge i'd probably advise you to play a more sanely priced course or try to finagle a round at TPC summerlin or something.

Never played either but from what I hear Shadow Creek is the better of the two. Though I would head to Mesquite and play Wolf Creek for $150
