TPC Summerlin is where Tiger won his first PGA tournament.

At Badlands on Thursday.

Stopped the beer girl and ordered a beer, a water and a gatorade for my threesome. She told me it was $5 and I assumed she made a mistake. She assured me it was $5 for all three. I was dumbfounded.

I don't remember the last time I saw $2 beer on a golf course. Hell, I paid $3 for a water at Silverstone last week.

Go up to The Chase about an hour north of Vegas and they just leave coolers of free drinks out on the course for people to help themselves. Nice course, too.

lozen your golf plan looks awesome, though personally I'd just play 18 at badlands (ask for desperado and diablo) and 18 at bears best instead of 36 at badlands. I played both paiute snow and wolf this summer and I thought snow was the more interesting of the two, didn't play sun but hear I already hit the best two.
We have a soft spot for Badlands as well as they offer a great replay rate of $50. Pauite We played Wolf and Snow as well and hope to play Sun. Our free lunch at Pauite was the best meal of out trip in May and we were in Vegas for 7 days.

Bear's Best is so expensive for tourists so we have not played it. We usually book all our golf on golfnow or I call the course and use my wise CDN negotiating skills. I refuse to pay posted rack rates

I played Wolf Creek for the first time on TW11 last night. Goddamn, that course has an asston of elevation change, now I understand why it is a great prop bet course.

It seems to be a really goofy course in general but also looks like it would be a lot of fun to play. Will have to check it out next time I'm up there.

Played revere (concord) on Sunday for $25 at noon.

Course was mega packed (apparently it was the last day of the season for super low rates) but was in solid condition.

I hadn't played it since last year and forgot how many elevation changes it has, and how terribly difficult all of the par 3's are.

I played like a dog, but really enjoyed it anyways.

I booked bear's best on golfnow 5 times this summer, I never paid over $60, badlands is sick value though, their twilight rate is $35 I think (through golfnow or them directly)

I'm considering a membership to Spanish Trail. Gonna check it out tomorrow and meet with the membership director. It's something like $450 per month (can't remember, might've been $500) if you sign up by yourself but just $275 if you bring in someone else also (both people need to be <35 years old). Cart fees of $20 per 18 not included, which really sucks. Anyway, if anyone is interested in going in with me let me know. I'm still very much undecided but will know more tomorrow.

Well, yeah, country clubs ain't cheap but it is a great deal compared to what they normally charge.

Initiation fees are usually $15,000 (waived with a 3 year commitment) and $550 per month for <35 y/o golf.

This is $275 per month ($450 if you sign up by yourself), no initiation, includes unlimited use of practice facilities, all the social stuff, pool/tennis access, a locker and bag storage. If you go the range a lot and play three rounds a week I'd say $335 per month is pretty damn good. It'd be 12 rounds a month for like $28 per round.

Oh, so the membership director told me that the non-members who play usually all get thrown on one of the 9 hole sides (27 total there) so it has a nice exclusive feel still and the facilities are great. The courses are shutting down the day after Labor Day and two of the three 9 hole courses open Oct. 1st with the other opening a few weeks later. If anyone would like to sign up now with me you basically get a free trial under October 1st when first payment is due (the course is closed for most of that but you could get some rounds in before).

Oops I'm slow. Did the math wrong. $43 per round if you played 12 a month. Still not tooo terrible.

So last time I was in Vegas, I drove past Bali Hai at 9pm at night and saw the lights on. How late can you play this course?

Are their any other lit courses you can play in Vegas?

I ask for the night-time stuff because our next huge group trip is during March Madness so golfing during the daytime is a no-go.

Angel Park has a lighted par 3 course. Same for Callaway Golf Center I think.

Speaking of Angel Park they have a pretty good deal for locals now. $99 gets you discounted rates for a year (think $35 weekdays, $39 weekends, not sure what it usually is), 2 rounds at the par 3 course, 5 at the putting course, 10 buckets of balls at the range, and 4 (!) tournaments, two "home" two "away." Am a little unsure of the details but it's worth checking out.

I think it goes up to $149 in a few days.

Thanks Keyser, I'll make a note of those. Anyone have info about Bali Hai's nighttime setup? Or experienced it?

The rates change depending on the time of year/when during the day you go out, but it's basically half off for everyone in your group every time you play. The card basically pays for itself the second time you play.

It's also good at the other courses associated w/ AP, Aliante is one and I'm blanking on the other one in town (and there are, I believe, two others out of town).

If it goes up to $150, it's probably good for the rest of this year and all of next year. I remember I bought one in Sep or Oct of last year and it's good through Dec of this year. You can ask them what the deal is, or use the live chat on the website, they are quite helpful.

Yes it's good through next year. But they're currently doing an early bird special, so that's why it's only $99, soon to increase $50.

One of the other courses you're thinking of is Legacy.

Yes, that's the one, thanks.

It really is a great deal even if you don't go out there often.

Both Primm courses are great. It's definitely worth the drive. Great views, somewhat similar to Paiute.
