Golf Irons discussion

All - I was curious what everybody is playing for golf irons.

Personally, I just swichted to Titleist AP2s and I could not be happier! I had been playing Callaway x20 tours for the last 2.5 years and I really liked those. The titleists are about a 1/2 club shorter for me, but the improved feel is well worth it. I find I'm swining them better, and with more confidence, because the head feels a bit heavier and I have more of a sense of where the club is in my swing. I pretty much play a dead straight ball flight, but I find these very easy to hit a baby fade with.

I like them.

Im curious how new irons would compare though. Thinking about getting a newer set some time in the next 12-18 months.

I've had them for 8-10 years and when I got them they were used.

Wilson Staff Ci6's

Don't laugh. They were Golf Digest's top mid-hdcp irons in '06...I was much more mid handicap than low back then. And I absolutely love these irons.

Sonofabitch. agdci uses the same irons I do. My game must have really fallen off.

Does the 845 user also still hit their Judge driver?

I have a Snake Eyes Viper Ti, and a bobby grace fat lady putter. But I use to have a Judge driver.

But those are my newest clubs.

I have a mid 1960's sand wedge that I just bought about 1.5 years ago at a flea market after having the same exact wedge for 15 years (after my dad had it for 20 years prior to that) so that the face was worn down and had no grooves. But I cant find another sand wedge with the same feel as that one so hopefully I will always be able to find a 1960s wilson staff sand wedge in newish condition somewhere.

Is there that much difference between the 845s I hit and newish irons? I really like my irons and I hit them well. What could I expect from something newer? Longer, straighter, higher?
