Video isn't up on pgatour.com, but some of the comments on the blog post about his PC are fantastic. Here are my two favorites:

Tiger and Alex Miceli(bowtie tard from GC) got into it a bit. I guess before the PC the media was asked not to ask about the Haney book bc Tiger has said he has already commented all he would like on it. After 2 previous book questions that Tiger shot down, Miceli tried his luck and then some words were exchanged.

its a non story.

it would have been interesting to hear him answer the question but i dont expect one nor do i feel we are entitled to one.

I think most of "our" demographic (I'm a couple years older than Tiger) had some thought of enlisting in the couple years post 9-11.

i had an overwhelming sense of guilt myself and a big part of me wanted to go back in the military as well. even though i was old and had children.

Agree 100%. No idea why the media thinks they are entitled to know personal details from the lives of athletes. He's a golfer, ask him about golf. He was very candid about his golf game in the interview, shame the media can't come up with more golf questions when he's being so open. I caught Misceli on Golf Central tonight and he was defending his question, saying it was a fair question to ask. Why is it not fair for Tiger to choose not to answer book related questions?

In Tiger's defense, the average pre-tournament press conference includes almost exclusively completely idiotic questions that aren't interesting at all. They've also fallen victim to the sports media epidemic of not simply asking a question, but asking a question after having spent 45 seconds dictating your own personal thought process behind why you're asking the question you had in mind.

Maybe him getting $70M/year as a corporate spokesman and willing to leverage an angle that plays well from time to time has something to do with it?

I don't feel any right to an answer, and I don't mind his non-answers or his BS answers.

Sports journalism is a joke, but I don't see the crime in someone getting an on camera reaction to a question that Tiger tried to preempt.

Misceli is a dumbass thats all there is to it. When you're told pre-conference that he won't answer questions on the book, then two writers ask questions about the book before you and get shut down, what do you think is going to happen when you ask your question? Decent chance he was fishing for an angry response.

Tiger's argument is that he's already talked about everything in the book by telling people he isn't going to talk about anything in the book. Pure sophistry. I have no problem with this as a media strategy. Why would he want to spend a second helping Haney sell a book he didn't authorize and doesn't appreciate?

I'm never going to read the book. It seems like a pretty sleazy project and I can do without gobbling up every Tiger tidbit. And I like his answer to the previous question when someone who makes a living trying to crawl up TW's ass asked him what it is like to have people setting up shop inside your ass.

I am fine with Tiger on it I why not answer it but if he starts answering one question on the book he will have to answer more. I am sure players got sick and tired of Tiger questions when he was winning and running from his wife with the 5 Iron. The Media can be annoying but the more they bug you the more money you must be making

Reporter did nothing wrong also
