I'm glad Selanee got crushed, she annoyed me and her swing is incredibly ugly

Re: Big Break - Atlantis

Selanee was my favorite. Humble, tried to think positive dealing with an obvious flinch in her iron swing, self-deprecating humor, solid putter, and prob. best driver of the group. She can play in my group anytime.

I'll pass on the winner.

Re: Big Break - Atlantis

Quick thoughts:

- I guess they were playing lift, clean and place after seeing Marcela mark and place her ball on the fringe on the second hole (I think).
- Marcela obviously deserved to win. She was probably the only person on the show that had a professional-looking swing and wasn't a head case in some way. She pretty much out-classed everyone throughout the show. She might be the best woman player I can remember on this show (although I'm sure I'm forgetting about a few players). Putting stroke needs some work.
- While it wasn't anything that bad, it would have probably tilted me a bit to hear Marcela keep talking to my ball if I was Selanee (e.g. 'get down', 'hang on', etc). Hey, I gotta pick on her about something.
- I think just about all the girls looked better on the course than in the interview room. Usually, it's like a 50/50 split for me. Although, none of them measured up to some of the past contestants.

Finally watched the finale. Marcela was clearly one of the favorites all season, and she played great in the last match.

But Jesus is selanees swing bad. She stays in flexion in her downswing for so f-ing long.

Happy to see Selanee win most popular of the group + $5k for QS. Maybe her new-found confidence gets rid of that bad iron flinch. Her driver swing and short game is fine.

It's not a flinch. It's a function of staying in flexion for too long and her having to find some way to keep the club from crashing into the ground.

Does she do it when the ball is teed up? Flinch may not be the best word but obviously her driver swing is completely different.

Re: Big Break - Atlantis

She hits driver fine for the same reason that beginning golfers hit balls that are teed up better than ones that are on the ground.

Watched the reunion show. Had some funny moments. Christina was wearing chucks with her dress. Big tit college girl called out about half the cast for not even playing professionally. And then the good playing one from KY with the annoying voice that got eliminated second called out Zakiya for buying out of elimination because she knew everyone was better than her.

Basically my point. More of a confidence thing than anything else IMO.

FYI girl eliminated 2nd show was from TX, not KY.

Re: Big Break - Atlantis

Beginners (and selanee) don't hit it better off a tee because of confidence. It's mechanical shortcomings in their swings that just don't show up as badly when the ball is off the ground.

Re: Big Break - Atlantis

Agree to disagree. Apparently Selanee's swing with non-teed shots was not nearly as bad as it is now. It is possible to strike the ball correctly with the ball teed up, and fail miserably when the ball is not teed up. In that regard it can only be confidence.

Look, you've proven yourself to be wrong in every thread I've seen you post in here in the golf forum, so this will be my last post on the subject (I think).

I don't care if she used to hit it better off the ground. She hits it like **** off the ground now. And it's because her swing has issues that cause her to hit it like **** when she has to hit it off the ground. Maybe her swing used to have slightly less issues that caused her to only hit it kinda ****ty off the ground, and then she made some swing changes trying to fix hitting it kinda ****ty but in reality actually made it more ****ty. That happens all the time.

Is her confidence shot? Sure. If I hit it like **** when the ball was laying on the ground I sure as hell wouldn't be very confident about it. But I don't care if she walked up to the ball saying "I'm Annika ****ing Sorrenstam, and I'm gonna blah blah blah", it's not going to change a damn thing about the fact that her swing sucks and she is going to hit a bunch of ****ty shots until she fixes it.
