Maybe Koepka's comments attracted not him missing an 8-footer for a match, but his opponent, maybe the one guy in the world who would most want that big moment, making bombs for eagle as he and his partner birdied in. Karma has great imagination and nuances. It is strange how Koepka's comments are so tone deaf about the whole idea of a team, and so ego laced. Like Tiger, he can't come out of "me, me, me, ego, ego, ego" mode. Just forget anything encouraging to teammates who might benefit from it, but just "I'm the alpha" BS.

Interestingly both Tiger and Koepka were dominant in singles, while sucking in all other formats of team play. USA 1-7 in Tiger played Cups? Wow. So the two are 6-2 (and three pushes) in singles, and royal suckage in all combo games. One can almost hear them saying, "Hey, did you see that I dominated my singles matches. That's because I'm the alpha." Tiger had incredibly inane comments against any semblance of a team concept.

Maybe the USA should send a battalion of junior players to Spain, to be raised there and to learn something besides spoilage and toxic ego. And use them for the Ryder Cup.

As a Euro bit bias but I loved watching it this year. Honestly wish it was a bit closer going into today though but great fun and a great watch. Some really good shots played throughout the few days.


I did actually think Rose was a bad choice (not sure if he auto qualified) but if picked I thought it was a bad one but he surprised me a lot come clutch when needed. For the US team were you disappointed in not seeing them in the team rather than someone else. I thought Horschel but I'm probably a little bias towards him as he is one of my fav players.

A couple of my friends went over to Rome to watch it. They picked a rough year to go but I'm jealous nonetheless.
