Advice for getting kids to start out Advice for getting kids to start out

My daughter is turning 3, and is somewhat interested in golf. She watches when it's on the TV, claps when the crowd is clapping. Today she tried to get my clubs out of my bag and said 'can I play golf daddy?'

Any advice on what to do next? I feel like I can skip the plastic clubs and get her chipping and putting if I can find 18" clubs.

Go to any store with U.S. Kids Golf gear. They fit the kids based on height.

They also have a website with information on fitting.

On the assumption you can find the proper size, I'd pick up a putter and a wedge (or other short, lofted iron) and see how it goes. Pretty cool to see that interest at such a young age.

My daughter is 4, I got her kids clubs and soft practice balls she can bat around in the grass outside my house. I try to remember to just let her have fun. We have also been to the putting green and she loves getting the ball in the hole but I've had a hard time getting her to swing the putter instead of push the ball around with it. Oh well I'm not worried about it yet.
