Match 2, 7:50am: Phil Mickelson/Rickie Fowler vs. Rory McIlroy/Andy Sullivan

Match 3, 8:05am: Jimmy Walker/Zach Johnson vs. Sergio Garcia/Martin Kaymer

I think team USA would do well to split these first 4. I'm really down on the Phil/Rickie pairing, and Spieth/Reed have a tough pair of opponents too. Only pair I have faith in is DJ/Kuchar.

I basically agree. Match 4 is looking good, if they can bink one of the other ones I'll be happy. I'm not sure if Stenson is 100% healthy yet or not so Spieth/Reed may do pretty well.

Phil/Rickie has to be an auto loss. Watching coverage today the commented that Phil basically hasn't hit a fairway since August (I think he was 1 for 14 on one of the rounds at East Lake). Perfect guy for foursomes.

They will be down 3-1 after morning foursomes.

I think the dj/westwood match is going to be tough. Ricky phil seems like a terrible 4somes team no? Basically phill and anyone seems like a terrible 4somes team.

What's the rule in the foursome format. Do you have to alternate shots from hole to hole, or can you have the same person tee off at every hole.
