Nice job by Dufner. Get a new gf, get a bit fat again, swing returns.

If it were so simple in life.

Nice win by Dufner. There was a good No Laying Up podcast with him before the tournament started: http://nolayingup.com/2017/05/30/nlu...-jason-dufner/

Any pics of her from the front?

Why was Bubba Watson allowed to put a tee in the bunker near his ball and then spread the sand with his fingers?

You have to identify your ball. If you can't by simply looking at it you have to do what he did, identify your ball and recreate your lie. Even though we ALL know the ball is his he has to actually see something on it to identify it as his.

he was identifying his ball and he was supposed to try and accurately recreate the lie after doing so.

Oh ok. I didn't realize you could do that in the bunker.

I found this pretty interesting:

Good visualization of top players careers.

I never realized Tom Lehman hit #1 in the world at one point.

I'm pretty sure they changed the rules in the last edition so that you have to identify your ball in a hazard - previously you had to play out of a hazard without touching your ball, but not have a penalty if it was a wrong ball. You now have a penalty if it isn't your ball, so you have to check first if you are not sure, lifting and cleaning to see your mark if necessary, and then putting it back as close as you can to the place and lie it had before you moved it. I think you can still hit a moving ball in a water hazard without penalty if it proves to not be your ball.

WTH is Luke Donald doing on that list? At least Westwood shows up at the majors, if only to finish 3rd. Surprised Els didn't get more weeks. His schedule probably didn't help him. Everyone else is a legitimate badass at golf.

I think Luke Donald was the leading money winner on the Euro and American tours...

I thought being able to identify your ball in the bunker has been that way for a while. I am sure ntnbo will know for sure.

As you say, it's been in the rules for a while now - it must be from the 2012 rule book rather than the 2016 one. Time flies lol!

He showed that an amazing short game could compensate for a mediocre long game - he then tried to hit it longer and ruined his own game!

I just bought a wedge set that he was supposedly involved in, so let's see how that works for a similar type of player, although playing off a mid handicap!

I'll update my h/c on the h/c thread so that I have a target. <14 plz.

Not much juice in this week's tournament. Should be a nice finish, though; with the leaders just teeing off for the final round, 18 players within 3 shots of the lead.

did we have 9-way tie for the lead there for a few seconds? or more?

what are the dynamics for phil at the USO? i see some ugly weather forecast for that area for wednesday and friday. easy for that to creep into thursday and he has late tee time.

but is there an actual point where he'd have to withdraw to get the alternate in? i think phil is very contientious sp? and might not just not show up for his tee time........ or would an alternative get added with 3 minutes notice? i.e. they are reasonably near the opening tee all the time.

the ultimate debate....... try to improve your weaknesses without killing your strengths or even your entire game.
