They hand out sheets showing exactly where the pins are on every hole. Why do they even need flags?

not sure there's any sports watching i enjoy more than the masters. and today was the 2nd round. it seemed more like a 3rd round somehow.... also, when i lived in wintery parts of canada, masters often coincided with the start of spring.

this is pretty minor question... but how/why did bubba lose so much weight? i would have described him as thin already but he has much skinnier arms this year.

apparently he's not trying to lose weight he just started eating healthier and eating fish for the first time in his life (possibly regularly for the first time in his life or possibly at all-the stories are ambiguous). He is down like 15-20 pounds purely from not eating like ****. Apparently he used to eat 1-2 burritos a day and other crap leading up to his previous Masters wins and just generally ate all kinds of junk food.

Looks like all that focus on his diet has led to a decrease in his level of play

An interesting dynamic to today's play are the pairings between 2016 Ryder Cup players:

Fitzpatrick/Snedeker
Rory/Kuchar
Pieters/Fowler

The Fitz pairing goes off in 2 minutes. Anybody want to make a bet? If the EURs win you win $10. If the Americans win you win $12. You can pick the side. Must be able to play/receive via Venmo and be a reputable poster.

Confirm by 11:20 to lock it in. Also posting in the SE Masters thread. Only will take one bet. First to reply gets the bet.

Going to take a low round to win this today. Course seems to be giving up a ton of birdies. This should be epic

I'm sure you get this all the time, but what is that setup, where do I get one, and is this some kind of league you're in to play against others? That looks like a lot of fun!

Anyone think Rickie is regressing a bit too his old swing? Seems to be getting very flat again.

i don't know enough really but it makes sense to me.

i see padraig has somewhat killed the warm buzz around sergio by saying he was a colassal a-hole..........

i also think sergio's mindset last 5 to 10 years has been under-reported. he basically said he wasn't good enough to win majors so maybe that took the pressure off him mentally. and he has responded positively. who ever thought he's win the masters? british open or pga championship was much more reasonable possibility. of course, now masters has much greater long game supremacy component so better chance recently.

it's been essentially the same length for 12 years now (actually longer in 2006), so 12 of the 18 years he's played

wow.............. delaet with another complete mental collapse....

told my friend who isn't near a TV that delaet was doing well but i felt a collapse coming.

30 minutes and it's 2 massive wedge chunks, a 3 wood hook into a hazard.

i hope graeme has 1) a regular golf instructor - he didn't for a long time; 2) sports psychologist......... cause this is really bizarre.

He's been a mental midget on Sundays forever. No surprise.

In the pre-round interview, DeLaet didn't look confident at all. He basically said : 'I like my position at the moment...let's see what happens.''

Wesley Bryan seems like a pretty cool customer. Wasn't even excited after he won, it seemed like he just expected it.

Being aware that you're a total headcase is the first step to solving the problem

I mean, the guy still has $882k in winnings this year as a total headcase... I probably wouldn't just give up even if I'm incapable of winning tournaments

He needs to take a page out of Kuchar's book and engineer his game for back door top 10's. Low stress, tons of money, and you never look bad.

two questions about delaet's pitching and chipping yips........ not sure where chipping ends and pitching starts but i'd think it's mostly pitching he has trouble with..

1) i didn't see delaet's first chunk... he was left of the green, maybe 10 to 15 yards off. was it a horrible chunk? or one that reached the fringe? the 2nd type you see all the time. the first type is really bad. his 2nd chunk was really really bad. ball went nowhere from 60 yards out.

2) would pitching yips be all mental? or can it show middling technique? in which case they compound each other i.e. you are having to make some sort of in-swing adjustment which is very very difficult when you are mentally stressed........i would think he should go spend time with stan utley, who i think fixed sergio's short game. and lo and behold, he wins player's almost immediately and masters down the road. i think it was utley. if not, it was another instructor synonymous with short game instruction.

i would add the long game players with mental performance issues in majors seemed to have timing issues in their swing and/or huge clubhead speed that may be hard to control under pressure.
