As if the sports marketing world needed another sign that the 22-year-old is "the real thing," the golfer has signed a deal with Coca-Cola. Neither the company nor his agent, Jay Danzi, would confirm the financials of the partnership other than to say it the multiyear deal will be one of the biggest the company has made with an athlete.

With his performance over the last year, Spieth has vaulted himself into an exclusive category. One source familiar with the deal said that, internally, he's on the same level as LeBron James (who had his own Sprite flavor for the past two years), Jennifer Aniston (Smartwater) and Taylor Swift (Diet Coke).

That strategy will include giving Spieth a guaranteed spot on its Olympian cans as golf returns the Games for the first time in 112 years.
With Coca-Cola and AT&T, Spieth now has two of the top 100 companies in the world as sponsors. His other big deals include a 10-year deal with Under Armour, which was signed last year, Titleist, Rolex and NetJets. He also endorses SuperStroke grips.

On Tuesday, Golf Digest estimated that Spieth made $53 million on and off the course in 2015, unseating Tiger Woods at the top for the first time in the 13 years the publication has been keeping track.
I've always been a huge Norman fan, but he was not a good announcer.
They need to fire every key player involved in that coverage that Fox produced at last year's US Open. Greg Norman was only a minuscule problem. Joe Buck was atrocious as well. I dread another go around with whoever was in charge of that

I was a bit surprised, it seemed like they jumped right into the US Open coverage without getting some preparation in smaller events.
The US Am was held at Chambers Bay in ~2011, perhaps that could be what you were thinking? Considering the U.S. Open is held in June while the U.S. Am is held in August. And pretty sure TGC has had the Am for a while now.
American Am Bryson DeChambeau tied at the top with Stenson in Abu Dhabi after 18 holes of play.
When was the last time a leaderboad had two guys named "Mikko" in the top 10? The invasion of the Finns!
Well, considering this isn't the PGA Tour, rather the Euro Tour, I'd say it's not the first time two Mikko's have been near the top. Finland is in Europe after all.
