Thank you. Was hoping someone would start one. Nice finishes the first two events. Some decent names in the CIMB, albeit a limited field, and the chance for some primetime golf viewing.

PGA is on live right now. Totally forgot Malaysia was 12 hours ahead not 12 hours behind. Won't have a DFS lineup to sweat this week sadly

Can I bring up a very nitBo type point I was reminded of watching last week's telecast?

Why do pros always fix spikemarks they blame missing short putts on? I think their logic is to prove to people watching they couldn't have possibly missed because of skill, but now they remove the chance of another player to be as unfortunate as they were.

Anyways something that always made me shake my head while watching on TV.

Level 2 thinking by them maybe. Like look at me I don't tap spikemarks down till after my putt so you don't think twice when they say it is a ball mark not spikemark

Nice to see the first win of many for my boy Justin Thomas. I got flamed in last year's thread when I said Thomas would be ranked higher than Spieth in 3 years. One poster even sent me a pm, just to call me an idiot. We'll see. Either way, lol to thinking he's not extremely close to Spieth in terms of talent level.

no. lol @ you revots33. you should be laughed at for saying they are extremely close in talent level.

that said, congrats to Thomas for winning a 78 person overseas tournament (that had 5 of the top 20 in the world competing, including only one in the top 10).

No lol you for thinking you know the ceiling of a 22 yo's talent who has already won on the PGA tour, and had 7 top tens in his rookie season.

And yeah, the field was so weak. May as well have been a web.com tour event.

i'm primarily lol'g @ you b/c you are adamant that Thomas has comparable talent level when compared to Spieth. if you don't see why this is ludicrous i can't help you out.

and yes, of course i point out that this was a limited field event held overseas. the OWGR SOF was 285. the recent Frys.com was a 283. so a solid win for the young fella (but not exactly donning green jackets at 22, is he?).

Thomas appears to have a bright future. will he one day be in contention at majors late on Sunday afternoon? don't know. not sure. what i do know is that the younger Spieth has / will be competing in majors on Sunday afternoons. why do i say this? because we have documented proof that he has the golfing ability to do so: 2 wins, 2 seconds, 5 top 5s

Big shame that this win for thomas means nothing in terms of ryder cup points, obv helps in terms of captains pick potential, but if he misses out, you gotta feel dl3 will pick experience over youth/talent like phil/kuchar,

If tomorrow, do you take kuchar + phil or JT and brooks?, i go latter

i cheer for kevin na every week but it gets frustrating..... he needs anti-anxiety drugs i think.. didn't watch to very end. did he 3-putt from 15 feet on 18?

the amazing number of young players makes what speith/day did last year even more impressive?

it's hard to figure why speith has been always there in recent majors whereas jimmy walker and kevin na haven't been?

i am thinking it's combo of mental and the fact he has a strong build. shorter hitters and skinny whippy fast swings have majors problems?? just thinking out loud... is day strong or whippy? i'd say in-between. rory is strong too.

i'd take phil and JT. if it is a package deal (i.e. phil/kooch or JT/Koepka) i'd take phil/kooch.

Revots, Speef's name is in golf history as one of the all time greats. Two major's, a record master's score, a Fed Ex Cup, and world number 1 puts him in super elite company. You can't project that on anyone.

Not sure how you can say he is already an all time great. Not much doubt in my mind that he will get there though.

Lol Revots

Im a huge JT fan but hes not even close to comparable to Spieth yet. Spieth has done better at every level of golf they have played at.

That being said JT does have a very very bright future and he will be a contender for years to come.

Also LOL for saying it means nothing given the field. Id say that was true had he not been so close so many times already. Obviously means alot and this is going to jumpstart is career. Id say the O/U for rest of season is 1.5 wins for JT
