From what I'm seeing, Wake's NCAA regional is the same weekend as the Byron.

I am looping for him at The Nelson. Should be interesting, regionals is actually Monday-Wednesday. Fly to Dallas and peg it Thursday.

Putt woes it seemed. I looked Friday and think Will was perfect under 4' ,he was 4-5 from 5', 4-6 for 6' something something 7' and 8' (forget) but pretty sure he missed 5 putts from 8' and in. Kid had a lot going on that week. Also, and I know he played in LA last year, I imagine it's just hard to have a routine showing < 24 hours before tee it up in a Tour event.

Looking forward to Ship's thoughts.

I'd guess he's just worn out from a long season and finals. Had his worst showing of the year in the NCAA regionals the previous three days. But the team did advance to finals.

Yeah definitely not an ideal preparation for a PGA event for a young guy, also I noticed he missed a 3fter for birdie on his 2nd hole on Thursday, possibly could have drained all confidence that early for what was to come with the putter.

Didn't realize until yesterday the ncaa finals are at eugene cc (90 miles away). seriously wish I could find an excuse to go down and watch, but just can't make it work.

Will shot -3 on his first 18 today at the Lake Merced sectional qualifier for the US open. He's currently T10 and there are 6 spots being played for.

considering who won the individual and team championships, and the atmosphere on the course when team championship was decided, it was definitely a big miss on my part. on the other hand, i was in the middle of 6 rounds in 4 days and would rather play 6 rounds over watching 6 rounds. if you haven't watched videos of the team final, go look them up...it's straight out of caddyshack.

Zalatoris -2 after round 1 for T33 (leaders -6) in the European Open. Reed and Schwartzel playing along with some of the usual Euro tour crew.
