Too bad, love to the the best tested to the max right down the street.

let's not get carried away. there were three players in the world top 50 entered in this nondescript Euro event.

Last time at Olympic IIRC the top five finishers were all former major champions. Of course, Jack Fleck won at Olympic too.

Zach Johnson by two shots over Lucas Glover. Westwood ties for 3rd with Charlie Wi.

typical SF weather w/ highs in the mid-60s. this should favor more Euros being on the first page of the leaderboard.

It's not who he beat, it's the way he played that caught my eye. I've already bet on him at 16/1 to win the US Open before he won here. Into 12s now!

fair enough.

that sounds like good value. i'd like to see him not be another Monty and claim a major before the window closes on him.

I think Winged Foot and Oakmont were both fantastic Open venues.

Really looking forward to the new courses (Erin Hills and Chambers Bay). Most of the US Open Courses are older courses, interested to see some of the newer designs under a US Open setup.

Re: 2012 US Open | The Olympic Club, San Francisco, CA

an educated guess but i think chambers bay is going to be a nightmare for live spectators. may have to sit in stands and then move to another stands i.e. nowhere to loiter on grass. not sure what elite tourney theymjust hosted (us amateur?) but it made them realize their wild grass or fescue needs to be protected. and i'm thinking that's most of the non-fairway/light rough... hope i'm wrong

What? Mid-60s are comfortable for everyone. Maybe if the weather was 55 and windy you'd have a case

Yah I looked at the last two pages. Seemed like the lack of discussion was eerie but I took a chance anyways. Turns out I ****ed up
