Bah, was hoping Rock was wet. Should be over now.
Yea maybe he will get his 6th career professional win by the end of his 5th full season! Or maybe he will win every event he plays for the rest of the year and catch the 34 professional wins that Tiger had at the end of his 5th full year!

The next Tiger Woods!

And if Rory had half the work ethic Tiger did early in his career he might be winning these instead of getting a bunch of top 5's.

Shame to see all that talent go to waste.

Competition way more fierce than when Tiger came on the scene.

As for the bolded, you said that, not me. Tiger fans just got a dose of reality today that he isn't the Tiger he once was. This wasn't an 18 man field

I don't disagree with regards to competition. As for the bolded part, I was mocking the general golfing public's desire to quickly crown Rory the next "Tiger Woods". For all intents an purposes he has had 6 wins in more than 100 career starts as a pro and only 1 of those wins came with Tiger in the field.

Re: 2012 European Tour Thread AKA TIGER ON THE PROWL

Is the competition better now than 10 years ago? Yes. Is it "way more fierce"? No. Is it the difference, even the slightest, between 30+ wins and 5 or so wins. No.

Alrite folks, just went a bit overboard, I think Tiger fans of all people should understand that

Was good to see him in the hunt on Sunday in a real tournament though. Robert Rock just applied too much pressure, he couldn't respond. Well played Rocky.

Re: 2012 European Tour Thread AKA TIGER ON THE PROWL

Rory's definitely not the next the next tiger woods. But, the next Nick Faldo (career-wise) would still be fun for golf fans.

Rory was awesome at the US Open, but he won it the way you would think.. By absolutely steam rolling the field and running away with it. Will be fun to see him hold on to a small lead in a big tourney.

Robert Rock was the guy who flew into the Masters like 5 hours prior bc he was a last minute add right? And he had good first 2 rounds if I recall...so hot right now..can't believe last night I was looking at him +660 to win it all and he was tied in the lead and I said naw..
