I guess you mean John Singleton - his wife made him try to qualify rather than just being a marshal or something.
No - I don't know him, but he was in the local papers a lot this week.
He works in a small local factory and half of the workforce were given the day off on Thursday and the rest on Friday to go and watch and support him.
He missed the the cut by 2 - same as the likes of Imenez, Boo, Daly and Blubba, so he didn't do too badly! Nice story, but I wish he had been 2 shots better!
